目的论视角下《蛙》日译本文化负载词翻译研究

【摘要】:任何一种语言都反映着一种独特的文化,文化负载词是体现各国语言文化独特魅力的重要载体。中国有着五千多年的灿烂文化和悠久历史。在历史的发展进程中产生了大量的文化负载词。这些文化负载词真实地反映了中国社会经济、政治、文化等各方面的特征。因此,为了更好地传承与发扬中华文化,在文化负载词的翻译过程中,真实贴切地翻译出每个文化负载词的概念意义和文化意义就显得尤为重要。同时,探究这些文化负载词采取了何种翻译方法和翻译策略也就成了值得深入研究的课题。《蛙》(日语译为《蛙鸣》)是莫言享誉中外的代表作之一,被誉为莫言创作生涯中的一座里程碑,小说中大量文化负载词的运用,真实地反映了小说所处的特定时代背景和鲜明的民族文化特色。本论文分为六章。第一章是序论部分,主要介绍《蛙》在中国以及日本的先行研究情况,另外简要论述了论文的研究目的、意义和研究方法。第二章,首先对原作者莫言以及《蛙》的内容进行了介绍,其次,介绍了译者吉田富夫和日译本《蛙鸣》的有关情况。第三章介绍了功能主义翻译目的论的创立与发展,重点阐述了目的论的三原则,即:目的原则、连贯原则、忠实原则。第四章,介绍了文化负载词的含义以及分类,结合美国著名翻译理论家奈达对于文化因素的划分,从《蛙》中抽取了 361个文化负载词作为研究对象,并将其分为生态文化负载词、物质文化负载词、社会文化负载词、宗教文化负载词和语言文化负载词五类。第五章,笔者以功能主义翻译目的论为理论依据,结合其三原则,分析译者翻译这五类文化负载词所用翻译方法以及实际翻译时需要注意的地方,肯定其精彩翻译的同时,对于有待商榷之处提出笔者的翻译意见。最后一章是结论,对本论文做出总结,指出论文存在的不足。其中,第四、五章为本论文的核心章节。本论文采用实证研究与定性研究相结合的研究方法,通过将原著与吉田富夫的日译本进行详细对照分析,结合表格统计数据,考察各类文化负载词所使用的翻译方法,根据翻译方法使用频率的高低,归纳译者处理各类文化负载词采用的翻译策略,最终得出以下结论:①生态文化负载词较多使用直译、意译。②物质文化负载词较多使用直译、直译+注释、移译+注释+音译。③社会文化负载词较多使用移译+注释、直译、移译、意译。④宗教文化负载词较多使用意译、直译、代换。⑤语言文化负载词较多使用直译、意译、代换。学者王佐良(1984)提出:翻译者必须是一个真正意义上的文化人。这充分说明了翻译文化负载词时,译者需要在充分了解原文文化、准确推断作者意图的基础上,兼顾目的语文化以及目的语读者的认知状况。只有这样,才能更准确的翻译文化负载词,更好的将中华文化传达给世界人民。
[Abstract]:Any language reflects a unique culture, and culture-loaded words are important carriers of the unique charm of language and culture. China has a splendid culture and a long history of more than five thousand years. In the course of historical development, a large number of culture-loaded words have been produced. These culture-loaded words truly reflect the social, economic, political, cultural and other characteristics of China. Therefore, in order to better inherit and carry forward Chinese culture, it is particularly important to truly translate the conceptual meaning and cultural meaning of each culture-loaded word in the process of translating culture-loaded words. At the same time, exploring the translation methods and translation strategies of these culture-loaded words has become a topic worthy of further study. "Frog" (translated in Japanese as "Frog") is one of Mo Yan's famous masterpieces both at home and abroad. Known as a milestone in Mo Yan's writing career, the use of a large number of culture-loaded words in the novel truly reflects the specific background and distinctive national cultural characteristics of the novel. This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the preface. It mainly introduces the advance research of Frog in China and Japan. In addition, it briefly discusses the purpose, significance and research methods of the thesis. The second chapter introduces the original author Mo Yan and Frog, and then introduces the translator Fufu Yoshida and the Japanese translation Frog Ming. Chapter three introduces the creation and development of functionalist Skopos theory, focusing on the three principles of Skopos theory, namely Skopos principle, coherence principle and faithfulness principle. The fourth chapter introduces the meaning and classification of culture-loaded words. According to the classification of cultural factors by Nida, a famous American translation theorist, 361 culture-loaded words are extracted from Frog as the object of study. It is divided into five categories: ecological culture loaded word, material culture loaded word, social culture loaded word, religious culture loaded word and language culture loaded word. In Chapter 5, based on functionalist Skopos Theory and its three principles, the author analyzes the translation methods used in the translation of these five culture-loaded words and the points that need to be paid attention to in practical translation, so as to affirm their brilliant translation. The author's views on translation are put forward. The last chapter is the conclusion of this paper, pointing out the shortcomings of the paper. Among them, the fourth and fifth chapters are the core chapters of this paper. This thesis adopts the research method of combining empirical research with qualitative research, compares and analyzes the Japanese translation of the original book and Fufu Yoshida in detail, and examines the translation methods used in various culture-loaded words by combining the tabular statistical data. According to the frequency of translation methods, this paper sums up the translation strategies adopted by translators in dealing with all kinds of culture-loaded words, and concludes that the following conclusions are drawn: 1: 1 eco-culture-loaded words use more literal translation, and free translation .2 material-culture-loaded words use literal translation more frequently. Transliteration of Socio-cultural loaded words. 4 religious culture-loaded words are more frequently used in free translation, literal translation, and free translation. Substitution 5. Cultural loaded words use literal translation, free translation and substitution. According to Wang Zuoliang 1984, the translator must be a real cultural man. This fully shows that when translating culture-loaded words, translators need to take into account the target language culture and the target language readers' cognition on the basis of fully understanding the original culture and inferring the author's intention. Only in this way can we translate culture-loaded words more accurately and better convey Chinese culture to the people of the world.
