【摘要】：随着经济全球化的推进,国际间的经济交流活动更加频繁,而国际间的一切经济活动都离不开互相制约的合同。合同在国际经济交流中作用尤为突出,同时也对合同的翻译的准确性提出了更高的要求。合同的类型多种多样,而工程施工合同就是其中应用十分广泛的一种。本文以作者的翻译实践(一万多字的工程合同英译中翻译)为例,以奈达动态对等理论为基础,探讨工程施工合同的翻译特点和原则,以及分析在翻译中遇到一系列难点,包括工程施工合同中近义词,古体词,情态动词方面词语表达的翻译,以及长难句型和被动语句的句子翻译。同时在翻译该工程施工合同中,作者采取相应的翻译策略和翻译技巧,并通过翻译实例来说明直译,省译,词性转化,调整语序,被动句翻译以及句子的组合与拆分这些翻译策略和方法是如何解决翻译中的困难,力求使译文满足奈达动态理论中提出的四点要求,即译语信息和原文信息基本相同,传达原文的精神和风格,译文通畅,符合译语规范和表达习惯,读者反映类似。并在不断的翻译练习中最终实现提高工程施工合同翻译能力之目的。最后在工程合同翻译实践中总结经验,希望能为同行提供一些参考。
