戏剧《庆祝会》英汉翻译实践报告

　　英国剧作家哈罗德·品特于2005年获得了诺贝尔文学奖。品特著有29部戏剧、6部电视剧本和3部电影剧本,其独特的“品特式”戏剧表现手法,使得他成为文学界最伟大的作家之一。本次翻译实践基于品特戏剧《庆祝会》的汉译完成。《庆祝会》中的场景是英国伦敦一家高级奢华的餐厅,主角是三对夫妻,他们以语言为武器,相互贬低和讽刺,每个人想要通过言语之间的“斗争”来维持表面上流社会的虚伪形象。戏剧化的剧情加上品特写作手法,使得剧情充满荒诞性、不确定性和威胁性,常常令人陷入恐惧和沉思,是具有典型品特戏剧特征的剧本。英国著名语言学家杰弗里·利奇（Geoffrey Leech）在其著作《语义学》（Semantics）中,将语义细分成七种类型,是一种相对完整的语义分类体系。品特戏剧有其独特的语言特点,着重分析语义可使翻译回归到根本目的,即在保留原作风味的条件下,将原作内容忠实地传达给受众。因而,本文着重介绍了如何利用利奇的语义分类法作为指导原则,对品特戏剧《庆祝会》进行翻译实践,并获取相应的翻译经验。本文以语义学为翻译指导理论,是品特戏剧翻译研究的首次尝试,是语义学与翻译学之间跨学科的新研究。通过研究,笔者发现语义...
