识解理论视角下的汉英公示语转喻对比研究

  公示语是一种面向公众的特殊文体,其编写要求简洁易懂,且侧重于功能体现。已有的公示语研究多从文体或语用角度展开,而基于认知的公示语研究相对较少。为丰富相关研究,本文试图从认知识解的角度对汉英公示语中较为常见的转喻现象进行分析对比。论文语料主要取自《汉英公示语词典》。本文首先从理论上阐释了识解理论同概念转喻理论结合的可行性,继而从详略度、突显、聚焦和视角四个维度对语料进行了定性分析,概括出两种语言的公示语中转喻类型的异同,分析其规律,并阐释差异背后的认知动因。最后,基于研究结果,对中国公示语的编写和英译提出相关建议。本文得出的基本结论如下:一方面,受设计者认知共性的影响,汉英公示语中存在基于相同识解方式的转喻用法;另一方面,思维和文化差异致使汉英公示语设计者采取不同的识解方式,而不同的识解方式又导致设计者采用不同的转喻用法。汉英公示语转喻之间的差别及其背后的原因主要在于以下四个方面:首先,在详略度层面,汉英公示语中皆存在基于粗颗粒度描写的转喻,但转喻成因不同,汉语多受汉民族整体思维的影响,而英语则多是为了满足特定语用目的的需要。其次,在突显层面,受整体/个体思维的不同影响,汉语倾向于突显整...
