关联理论视角下《资治通鉴》中军事术语英译分析

　　典籍是中国传统文化的重要载体,承载着丰富的文化内涵。典籍英译是传播中国传统文化重要的方式。典籍中军事术语的英译是对中国传统军事文化的一种传播,极具研究价值。然而在当前的典籍英译研究中,对军事术语英译研究较少,且研究文本比较单一。《资治通鉴》是我国第一部编年体的通史,史学价值极高,堪称中国史学的不朽巨著,研究《资治通鉴》中的军事术语英译能够在一定程度上推动中国古代军事文化的传播。本文选取由著名汉学家张磊夫所译的《资治通鉴》节译本作为研究语料。根据《中国古代军事文化大词典》和《军语》的分类标准,本文将书中的军事术语分为兵器战具、兵要地理、行军、兵制、指挥通讯以及军事后勤等六类。主要目的有三个,一是以关联理论为框架来分析译者在翻译不同类别军事术语时用到的翻译策略;二是判断译文中军事术语的翻译是否达到最佳关联;三是检验关联理论是否对《资治通鉴》中军事术语英译具有解释力。本文以关联理论作为理论框架,将最佳关联作为军事术语英译的衡量标准。在翻译过程中,要达到最佳关联,译者需要考虑译文所产生的语境效果和读者的处理努力这两个因素。本文通过对《资治通鉴》中军事术语英译的研究发现,译者的译文大部分实现了最...
