《纽约客》短篇小说选文英汉翻译实践报告

　　本次翻译实践报告的源文本选自《纽约客》三篇短篇小说。源文本共计20668个英文单词,内容涉及美国的种族歧视、家庭生活和社会生活的各个方面,目前尚未被译成中文。本次翻译实践旨在帮助中国读者更好地了解美国社会,促进中美文化交流,并为文学翻译的研究提供一定的参考价值。本次翻译实践以纽马克的语义翻译和交际翻译理论为指导。该报告从词汇和句法两个层面分别探讨了源文本的翻译难点及解决法案。词汇层面,以语义翻译为指导,通过查阅字典以再现一词多义的语境意义;以交际翻译为指导,通过运用转换词性、增词、引申、意译等翻译技巧使译文更加地道流畅。句法层面,在语义翻译的指导下,通过运用直译以使译文忠实于原文;在交际翻译的指导下,通过拆分、重组句子结构以达到译文的流畅。通过本次翻译实践,译者发现语义翻译和交际翻译可以有效地指导短篇小说的翻译,帮助译者准确地再现原文的语境意义和效果。
