　　本次翻译选取的文本是由Janet Bennett所著的The SAGE Encyclopedia of Intercultural Competence(《跨文化能力百科全书》)。本书将跨文化能力划分为20大主题,由A-Z共261个条目组成,包括“跨文化冲突与谈判”、“语言和语言学”以及“社会正义”,从认知因素、情感因素、行为因素多角度研究跨文化交际能力的影响。跨文化交际能力是针对文化冲突提出来的,它是一种在理解、掌握外国文化知识与交际技能的基础上,灵活处理跨文化交际中出现的实际问题的能力。跨文化能力又称“跨文化适应”,是指在一个文化环境中的行为经过修正后,使其与另一文化环境相适应的能力。而跨文化交际能力是一个新概念,关于它的界定仍在不断讨论中。《跨文化能力百科全书》一书旨在向读者介绍跨文化能力影响与发展等知识,故而原文具有信息型文本的功能。按照纽马克的文本类型分类理论,该书是以信息型文本为主,以表达型文本为辅,因而在翻译过程中就以彼得·纽马克的交际翻译策略为主,以语义翻译策略为辅。本翻译实践报告由五个部分组成。第一部分是翻译项目介绍,主要包含了其特点、意义、原文作者介绍等;第二部分是...
