　　本次翻译实践的文本选自山下凯伦的处女作《穿越雨林之弧》。该小说自出版以来,在各国被广泛阅读,并于2017年再次印刷出版,但目前尚无中文译本。该作品的引进能为致力于研究亚裔美国文学的国内学者提供参考。本文以纽马克的交际翻译理论为依据,探讨了《穿越雨林之弧》中环境描写的翻译策略。本文首先介绍了源文本,并分析了文中环境描写的特点和作用,然后具体描述了在翻译环境描写中遇到的难点,即:专有名词较多、长句结构复杂、文化特色浓厚以及修辞较多。在此基础上,本文选择了纽马克的交际翻译理论作为理论指导。此理论的核心是试图使读者获得的效果与源语读者所获得的效果尽可能接近。因此在其指导下,译者可以以目标语读者为中心,在翻译实践中考虑目标语读者的表达习惯、文化接受能力以及审美习惯。具体而言,使用直译加注和增译来处理小说中的专有名词,这能够减少译文读者的阅读障碍;通过拆分长句和调整语序使译文更具有可读性;运用四字结构和排比句式使译文更具有美感和吸引力。最后,笔者得出结论,在小说翻译中译者首先要明确译文的目标读者,目标读者决定了译文的形式和译者翻译时的翻译策略,在纽马克交际翻译理论指导下的小说译本能够更多地获得读者...
