　　随着中外文化的不断交流与发展,越来越多的历史传记深受读者青睐,这也对历史传记的翻译工作提出了更高的要求,不仅要保证历史的真实性,还要兼具作品的文学色彩。以《暹罗1688》(The History of Siam,1688)的第三章内容为翻译材料,《暹罗1688》汉译实践报告旨在通过传记了解历史的同时,总结历史传记类文本的语言特点和翻译技巧。尤金·奈达的功能对等理论强调,在翻译过程中,应该寻求一种最切近自然的对等关系,实现文本文化内涵的传递,这也正符合历史传记类文本的翻译要求。基于功能对等理论,《暹罗1688》汉译实践报告从词汇、句法、语篇和风格四个方面的对等对历史传记类文本的语言特点和翻译技巧进行研究总结,体现了功能对等理论在历史传记类文本的翻译中具有指导意义。另外,在翻译历史传记类文本的过程中,《暹罗1688》汉译实践报告具有一定的现实意义,通过对原文本的翻译、校对和对平行文本的参考,以及对历史书籍的查阅,更加客观地再现了帕碧罗阇这一历史人物的形象特点以及17世纪的殖民扩张运动和大国邦交策略。图0幅;表1个;参31篇
