演示演讲在高中英语口语教学中的实证研究

【摘要】:随着全球化的发展趋势,人们对英语口语技能的需求和要求也在逐渐提高,同样,英语语言学习者对其口语能力的重视程度也越来越高。语言学习的最终目的是用于交流,一个人语言能力的高低可以通过其口语技能的强弱进行表现。可以说口语是语言交流中不可缺少的一部分,更是在语言学习中不能忽视的一个重要部分。然而,我国英语教育在高考制度的长期影响下过分强调了对英语阅读技能的学习,侧重于教授学生如何通过眼睛从视觉上去获取信息而忽视了培养他们如何从听觉上抓住信息从而与人交谈的能力,因此高中英语教学中对学生的口语技能的培养并没有得到足够的重视。高中英语口语教学只关注了学生对单词的拼读与课文的记背,并没有针对学生的口语实际应用进行有效的训练,因此许多高中生虽然学习了三年英语却仍然不能流利地说英语。基于此,研究者研究了贵阳市第三十八中学的英语教学资源和口语教学模式,尝试将演示演讲应用于英语口语教学实践中。旨在通过演示演讲这一活动提高学生的英语口语技能、英语学习兴趣、自主学习能力以及英语综合应用能力。研究选取了该校高一(五)班作为本次实践的实验班,高一(六)班作为控制班,并于授课期间在实验班的英语口语教学中实践了演示演讲活动。之后通过观察、调查问卷、访谈、成绩测试的方式对两个班进行了分析研究。研究发现,实验班在进行演示演讲后,该班同学的英语口语能力得到显著提高。且与控制班相比,实验班的同学对英语的学习兴趣有明显提升;在自主学习能力方面,实验班同学搜集资料、组织材料的能力也明显高于控制班;期末测试成绩也高于控制班。研究表明在英语口语教学中进行演示演讲是有作用且有必要的,它可以提高学生的英语口语技能、学习兴趣、自主学习能力以及英语综合应用能力。
[Abstract]:With the development of globalization, the demands and requirements of spoken English skills are gradually raised. Similarly, English language learners pay more and more attention to their oral ability. The ultimate purpose of language learning is to communicate with each other. The level of a person's language ability can be expressed by the strength of his oral skills. It can be said that oral language is an indispensable part of language communication, but also an important part of language learning. Under the long-term influence of the college entrance examination system, English education in China has overemphasized the learning of English reading skills. The focus is on teaching students how to get information visually through their eyes, ignoring the ability to develop their ability to listen to information and talk to people. Therefore, the cultivation of students' oral skills in senior high school English teaching has not been paid enough attention to. The oral English teaching in senior high school only pays attention to the spelling of words and the memorization of the text. There is no effective training for students' practical application of oral English, so many high school students still can't speak English fluently even though they have studied English for three years. The researchers studied the English teaching resources and oral English teaching patterns in Guiyang No. 38 Middle School, and tried to apply the demonstration speech to the practice of oral English teaching. The purpose of this study was to improve the students' oral English skills through the activity of presentation speech. English learning interest, autonomous learning ability and English comprehensive application ability. The study selected the first (fifth) class as the experimental class and the first (sixth) class as the control class. Then, through observation, questionnaire, interview and grade test, the two classes are analyzed and studied. After giving a presentation, the students' oral English ability of the experimental class has been improved significantly. Compared with the control class, the experimental class's interest in English learning has obviously increased, and in terms of autonomous learning ability, the experimental class's ability to learn English has been greatly improved. The ability of organizing materials is also higher than that of the control class, and the final test scores are also higher than those of the control class. The study shows that it is useful and necessary to give a presentation in oral English teaching. It can improve students' oral English skills, learning interest, autonomous learning ability and English comprehensive application ability.
