概念图在高中英语阅读教学中应用的实验研究

【摘要】：阅读是英语教学的重要内容,也是学生获取知识的最重要的方式。伴随着英语教育改革,新英语课程标准倡导学生通过积极参与学习活动,学会利用阅读策略,获得知识,提高阅读技巧和发展阅读水平。然而,在当今高中英语教学中,学生仍关注词汇和语法。因此,提出一种有效的教学方法帮助学生英语学习是十分有必要的。概念图是由诺瓦克博士根据有意义学习的理论提出,是一种展示知识与知识之间关系的图形化表征,促进学生将新知识与已获得的知识联系起来,以便掌握阅读文章整体。目前,概念图在我国英语阅读教学应用上的研究处于发展阶段,仍需进一步探讨。本研究旨在探讨概念图策略在英语阅读教学中的有效性。本文主要研究问题:(1)概念图的应用是否对学生使用英语策略有积极影响;(2)概念图的应用是否能提高学生的阅读水平。从2016年9月到2017年1月,研究者以南宫市奋飞中学高一的两个平行班作为实验对象进行实验研究。实验班56人,控制班56人。控制班采用传统教学方法而实验班采用概念图教学。为了调查学生英语阅读策略的使用情况,研究者在实验前发放调查问卷,而且在实验后访谈不同水平的12名学生,和再次发放调查问卷,验证概念图是否促进学生使用阅读策略。为了探究概念图是否能有效提高学生的英语阅读水平,研究者首先对学生进行前测,利用第一次月考成绩来分析两个平行班的英语水平是否存在明显差异。其次,在实验后对学生进行后测,比较实验班和控制班的的第四次月考成绩,探究概念图能否提高学生英语阅读水平。实验结果表明概念图的应用有利于提高学生使用阅读策略和阅读水平,有利于学生实现新旧知识的连接,因此概念图对于英语教学有积极影响。
[Abstract]:Reading is not only an important part of English teaching, but also the most important way for students to acquire knowledge.With the reform of English education, the New English Curriculum Standard urges students to actively participate in learning activities, learn to use reading strategies, acquire knowledge, improve reading skills and develop reading skills.However, in today's high school English teaching, students still pay attention to vocabulary and grammar.Therefore, it is necessary to put forward an effective teaching method to help students learn English.The concept map is proposed by Dr. Novak according to the theory of meaningful learning. It is a graphical representation of the relationship between knowledge and knowledge, which promotes students to associate new knowledge with acquired knowledge in order to master the whole reading article.At present, the research on the application of concept map in English reading teaching is still in the stage of development.The purpose of this study is to explore the effectiveness of concept map strategies in English reading teaching.This paper mainly studies whether the application of concept map has a positive effect on students' use of English strategies) whether the application of concept map can improve students' reading ability.From September 2016 to January 2017, the researchers used two parallel classes in Fen Fei Middle School, Nangong City, as experimental subjects.There were 56 students in the experimental class and 56 in the control class.The control class adopts the traditional teaching method and the experimental class adopts the concept map teaching.In order to investigate the use of English reading strategies, the researchers sent out questionnaires before the experiment, and interviewed 12 students at different levels after the experiment.Verify that the concept map promotes students to use reading strategies.In order to find out whether the concept map can effectively improve the students' English reading ability, the researcher first conducted a pre-test on the students and analyzed whether there were significant differences in English proficiency between the two parallel classes by using the results of the first monthly test.Secondly, the students are tested after the experiment, and the results of the fourth monthly test of the experimental class and the control class are compared to explore whether the concept map can improve the students' English reading ability.The experimental results show that the application of concept map is helpful to improve the students' reading strategies and reading level, and to realize the connection between new and old knowledge. Therefore, concept map has a positive effect on English teaching.
