持续默读对高中生英语阅读理解能力影响的研究

【摘要】:读是英语教学的关键,也是学生学习英语的重要技能。但是,我国的阅读教学还局限于侧重于语法、句法分析,难句释疑和理解课文的字面意义。教学过程仍是以教师为中心的满堂灌模式,不能调动高中生阅读积极性,忽视了阅读能力的培养,阅读理解效果不甚理想,因此高中英语阅读教学需要改进。基于国内高中英语阅读教学的现状,本文引入国外英语阅读教学中的持续默读模式,以探索一种有效的阅读模式来提高学生的阅读兴趣和阅读能力。本研究对象为江苏省如东高级中学高三两个平行班的100名学生,其中一个班级作为实验班,另一个班级作为对照班。两个班学生的阅读能力相当,课时数相等。在为期9个月的教学实验中,笔者在实验班将持续默读模式和传统的阅读教学相结合,对照班则仍以传统的阅读教学和配套的阅读训练为主要方式。本实验的研究方法为测试法与访谈法。在实验过程中,笔者针对两个班学生的英语阅读能力进行了前测和后测,并对数据进行了对比分析。另外,在实验中期,笔者还对从实验班的高低分数档中随机抽出几名学生进行面对面的交流,以了解学生对于持续默读重要性的认识、使用现状、以及他们对于持续默读的评价。实验结果表明,持续默读模式应用于高中英语阅读教学是有成效的,尤其有助于提高学生的四种阅读能力:归纳主旨大意能力、理解事实细节能力、推理判断能力和猜测词义能力。此外,在实验班,持续默读能够帮助提升高分档学生的阅读理解水平。
[Abstract]:Reading is not only the key of English teaching, but also an important skill for students to learn English. However, the teaching of reading in China is limited to grammar, syntactic analysis, interpretation of difficult sentences and understanding of the literal meaning of the text. The teaching process is still a teacher-centered teaching mode, which can not arouse the reading enthusiasm of senior high school students, ignore the cultivation of reading ability, and the effect of reading comprehension is not very good. Therefore, the teaching of English reading in senior high school needs to be improved. Based on the present situation of English reading teaching in senior high school in China, this paper introduces the continuous silent reading mode in foreign reading teaching to explore an effective reading model to improve students' reading interest and reading ability. The subjects of this study were 100 students from two parallel classes, one as experimental class and the other as control class in Rudong Senior Middle School, Jiangsu Province. The students in the two classes have equal reading ability and equal number of class hours. In the nine-month teaching experiment, the author combines the continuous silent reading mode with the traditional reading teaching in the experimental class, while the control class still takes the traditional reading teaching and matching reading training as the main way. The research methods of this experiment are test method and interview method. In the course of the experiment, the author carries on the pre-test and the post-test to the two classes students' English reading ability, and carries on the contrast analysis to the data. In addition, in the middle of the experiment, the author also randomly selected several students from the high and low grades of the experimental class for face-to-face communication, in order to understand the students' understanding of the importance of continuous silent reading, and the status quo of their use. And their assessment of continued silent reading. The experimental results show that the application of continuous silent reading mode in English reading teaching in senior high school is effective, especially in improving students' reading ability: generalizing the main idea, understanding the facts and details. Ability to reason and judge and to guess the meaning of words. In addition, in the experimental class, continuous silent reading can help improve the reading comprehension of high grade students.
