语块教学与中学英文写作的相关性研究

【摘要】:英文写作是英文语言输出的一种重要形式,,它能反映学生的英文综合能力。传统英语教学认为通过学习语法规则和词汇能提高英语学习者的英语输出能力,而且英文写作没有受到足够的重视。由于缺乏好的英语写作指导,学生的英文写作能力没有得到根本性的提高。 本实验的理论依据是语块理论。语块是固定、半固定的语言单位。根据语块教学法的原则,本实验将语块教学法运用于英语教学的各个环节。通过相关数据与调查的分析来研究语块学习对中学生的英文写作、英文综合能力以及英文学习方法的影响,探讨语块教学在中学英文写作教学的实践意义。 对于一篇好的英文写作,除了语言的准确性之外,语篇的结构与内容以及语言表达的多样性与适合性同样重要。研究者分别从句子、语法、语篇衔接与内容以及语用方面讨论语块与英文写作的关系。 实验对象为某初中的八年级的两个平行班,一个作为实验班(64人),一个作为控制班(54人)。教材为人民教育出版社的初中英语八年级教材。在控制班采用常规教学法,而在实验班采用语块教学法。实验周期为一个学年。将前一学期的期末考试的英文成绩作为前测,实验学年末的期末考试英文成绩作为后测。在实验初期与末期,分别对两个班学生的英文分数与作文分数运用软件SPSS13.0进行独立样本T检验,并对受试学生的语块知识、英文写作技巧与英文学习方法等方面也进行了问卷调查。 实验结果表明:语块教学法运用于英文写作教学具有实践意义。它能提高学生在英文写作中的语言运用、语篇的组织与内容的能力。语块学习对英文写作技巧乃至英语学习的观念、方法等方面都有很大的影响,并提高了学生英语学习的积极性与主动性。
[Abstract]:English writing is an important form of English language output, which can reflect students' comprehensive English ability. Traditional English teaching holds that English learners' English output ability can be improved by learning grammar rules and vocabulary, and English writing is not paid enough attention to. Due to the lack of good English writing guidance, students' English writing ability has not been fundamentally improved. The theoretical basis of this experiment is chunk theory. Chunks are fixed, semi-fixed linguistic units. According to the principle of lexical approach, this experiment applies chunks to all aspects of English teaching. Through the analysis of relevant data and investigation, this paper studies the influence of chunks learning on middle school students' English writing, English comprehensive competence and English learning methods, and probes into the practical significance of chunks teaching in middle school English writing teaching. For a good English writing, besides the accuracy of language, the structure and content of a text, as well as the diversity and suitability of language expression, are equally important. The relationship between chunks and English writing is discussed in terms of sentence, grammar, cohesion and content as well as pragmatics. The subjects were two parallel classes in grade eight of a middle school, one as an experimental class with 64 students and one as a control class with 54 students. Textbooks for the people's Education Press junior high school English 8-year textbooks. The conventional teaching method is used in the control class and the chunks teaching method is used in the experimental class. The experimental period is a school year. The English scores of the final exam of the previous semester are taken as the pretest, and the English scores of the final examination at the end of the experiment are taken as the posttest. At the beginning and the end of the experiment, the English scores and composition scores of the two classes were tested by the software SPSS13.0, and the chunks of the students were tested. A questionnaire survey was also conducted on English writing skills and English learning methods. The experimental results show that the use of chunks in English writing teaching is of practical significance. It can improve students' ability of language use, text organization and content in English writing. Chunk learning has great influence on English writing skills as well as English learning ideas and methods, and improves students' enthusiasm and initiative in English learning.
