自然拼读法在农村小学英语词汇教学中的应用

【摘要】:作者曾在一所农村小学担任两年英语教师。在此期间,作者发现,对小学生而言,词汇是造成英语难学的最大阻碍。最终导致学生出现谈英语词汇色变的现象。考虑到词汇的重要性和复杂性,作者正在寻求一种行之有效的方法来扫除英语学习中的词汇障碍。自然拼读法就是此种方法。针对学生在词汇学习时遇到的困难,笔者提出以下研究问题:(1)自然拼读法对学生辨音能力有什么影响?(2)自然拼读法对学生拼写能力有什么影响?(3)自然拼读法对学生英语综合应用能力有什么影响?本实验在襄阳市吴店实验小学进行,从2016年9月到2017年1月,历时四个月。作者选取四(一)班作为实验班,用自然拼读法进行词汇教学,四(二)班作为对照班,接受传统的英语教学方法进行词汇教学。本研究中共用到了两种种研究工具:采访,测试。在实验开始前,笔者先对实验学校的四名英语老师进行采访,以便找出学生在词汇学习时的问题。测试包括前测和后测。其中前测和后测各包含三部分:辨音,拼写和英语综合。本研究主要运用的是SPSS19.0对数据进行的分析。通过分析可知,实验班的学生在辨音能力,词汇的拼写及英语的综合应用能力方面有显著的提高。相比之下,对照班的前测和后测结果没有明显变化。由此可见,对农村刚接触英语的学生而言,自然拼读法有望成为一种解决词汇学习困难的好方法,从而提高学生的应用综合应用能力。
[Abstract]:The writer worked as an English teacher in a rural primary school for two years. In the meantime, the author finds that vocabulary is the biggest obstacle to learning English. Finally, students appear the phenomenon of English vocabulary color change. Considering the importance and complexity of vocabulary, the author is looking for an effective way to remove lexical barriers in English learning. Natural spelling is such a method. In view of the difficulties encountered by students in vocabulary learning, The author puts forward the following research question: 1) what effect does natural spelling have on students' ability to distinguish sounds? 2) what effect does natural spelling have on students' spelling ability? 3) what effect does natural spelling have on students' English comprehensive application ability? The experiment was conducted at Wudian Experimental Primary School in Xiangyang from September 2016 to January 2017 for four months. The author chooses Class 4 (1) as the experimental class, carries on the vocabulary teaching with the natural spelling method, and the 4 (2) class as the control class, accepts the traditional English teaching method to carry on the vocabulary teaching. There are two kinds of research tools used in this study: interview and test. Before the beginning of the experiment, the author interviewed four English teachers in the experimental school to find out the students' problems in vocabulary learning. The test includes pre test and post test. The pre-test and post-test each include three parts: pronunciation, spelling and English synthesis. This research mainly uses SPSS 19.0 to carry on the analysis to the data. Through analysis, we can see that the students in the experimental class have a significant improvement in the ability of distinguishing sounds, spelling vocabulary and comprehensive application of English. In contrast, there was no significant change in the pre-and post-test results of the control class. It can be seen from this that natural spelling is expected to be a good way to solve vocabulary learning difficulties for rural students who have just come into contact with English, thus improving the students' ability of applying comprehensive application.
