单机游戏《开拓者:拥王者》英译汉实践报告

随着时代的变化,游戏行业迅猛发展,游戏市场所创造的营收每年都增加,可是汉化版本的游戏在游戏市场份额中所占的比列很小,这表明中国游戏本地化的发展空间还是很大。当前基于游戏翻译的研究还不是很多,这与它本身市场的快速发展并不相符。该报告主要基于跑团游戏《开拓者:拥王者》的汉译实践,分为四章。第一章,作者对游戏项目的背景、游戏本地化概述、研究意义和游戏文本特点进行介绍;第二章,作者介绍翻译的三个过程:译前、译中、译后,并着重表述在译中遇到的困难和解决方案;第三章,作者主要对翻译过程中遇到的困难和解决方案结合实际案例进行分析;第四章,作者总结主要的收获以及在这次翻译中的不足。这份报告以柏纳尔·梅里诺的电子游戏本地化理论为指导。在该理论的指导下,作者重点在翻译游戏技能名称、叙述型文本,以及在处理术语和术语库时,采用了特定的翻译策略和方法,并结合实例进行分析。在翻译技能名称时,作者为一些技能名称增添了技能效果,以突出技能的特点;为符合技能名称精简的要求,一些技能翻译成汉语的四字格结构,使之更符合汉语表达习惯;对于一些从属名词短语,则用汉语“之”来连接。在翻译描述性文本时,作者在第一稿后会把语境碎片重...
