从认知翻译角度探析《围城》中隐喻翻译的局限性

本文试着对隐喻翻译的特点及其局限性进行深入的探讨,运用认知翻译的手段翻译文学文本中的隐喻时,很多时候会因多种因素产生翻译不准确甚至误译的现象。本文以《围城》的译本为研究对象,对其隐喻的映射转换和认知翻译手法做分析。从译元分析的角度对《围城》英文译本中隐喻翻译的效度进行分析,并结合语境效应和推理努力,评价本译本中隐喻翻译的效果,目的是丰富和深化这一领域的探索。虽然我们标榜译者的重要性,也是语言学翻译的重点之一,但是我们也应该认识到根据译者一人一时的体验,或者说认知的体验,翻译出来的作品,并非是真正表现译者情感的作品。乔治·拉克夫（George Lakoff）和马克·约翰逊（Mark Johnson）的著作《我们赖以生存的隐喻》（Metaphors We Live by）,改变了对隐喻的传统观点。他们认为隐喻是一种认知手段也是一种思维方式。隐喻的翻译也和认知语言学理论结合在一起,也是一种以词为焦点、语境为框架的语用现象,涉及到语言、文化、社会、心理、宗教等方面。结合纽马克的隐喻翻译观本文在分析文本中隐喻的翻译时也将以上因素加以考虑结合语境与映射转换后的效果来评价译文效度,并给出意见。本文发...
