新编本土英语教材与原版英语教材在文化视角上的差异分析

随着英语逐渐成为一门世界通用语言,文化教学和跨文化交际能力培养已经成为外语教育工作者关注的主要问题之一,英语教学需要为学习者应对全球化的挑战做准备。考虑到英语教材在语言学习中的中心地位,当前英语教材中的文化教学是值得研究的重要问题。本研究旨在通过分析一套新编的本土化英语教材《上海高中英语》(上海教育出版社,2020)中对原版教材文化内容所做的改编,探究其背后对于中国英语教育的影响。研究问题如下:(1)英语原版教材和本土改编教材分别包含哪些文化种类?(2)英语原版教材和本土改编教材分别包含哪些文化元素?(3)在英语原版教材本土化的过程中,文化内容做了哪些改动?(4)这些变化在将英语作为通用语的教学理念中意味着什么?本研究的数据来自于对教材中的阅读材料、听力和视频的文本材料进行的语篇分析和对练习的分析。在教材分析完成之后又与《上海高中英语》的主编进行了访谈,进一步了解教材编写背后的故事。研究结果总结如下:从文化的范畴来看,首先,在国际教材和本土教材中,目标文化都占据着主导地位。这意味着我国教材编写者仍然十分重视目标文化,认为充分了解英语母语国家文化对英语学习者具有重要意义。其次,改编过程中...
