工程学与教育学英文期刊论文中自言和借言的对比研究

在学术写作研究中,引文和转述一直是大家研究的热门课题。如何引用别人的观点以及准确表述自己的看法,即本文中所提借言和自言,对于新手作者来说是一大挑战。本文着重研究了教育学和工程学期刊文章中“that”搭配词的特点,旨在为新手作者在学术写作中恰当运用借言和自言构建自己的立场提供一些参考。本研究从工程学和教育学2017年至2018年的国际英语学术期刊中(每个学科包含三种期刊),各选出母语为英语的学者发表的20篇论文,选取其摘要和正文部分,建立了两个小型语料库,语料库的总字数为282,446。语料库建好后,首先使用Word Smith 6.0检索出“that”搭配词及高频搭配词的频次。其次,人工去除没有转述功能的“that”搭配词,并根据其特征和功能,将其分为自言或借言。然后,对各类“that”搭配词的频次进行统计,再对其修辞功能、时态、句法结构、主语等进行研究分析。最后,对两种学科语料库中的各项数据进行对比分析以找出相同和不同之处。研究结果表明,“that”搭配词主要以转述动词为主,此外还包括系动词、介词、名词等。自言和借言中共用的高频搭配词为suggest,indicate,find,no...
