《北海道的住房》翻译实践中的长句处理

【摘要】：长句是日语中一种较为常见的语言表达形式,除了字数较多以外,还有结构复杂、修饰成分较长、用词重复等特点。并且,长句的长度也在一定程度上扩大了日语自身的理解难度。这些因素决定了日语长句的翻译难度和复杂程度,也使得日语长句的翻译更具有研究价值,因此长句的翻译技巧的相关研究也需要进一步的完善和发展。《北海道的住宅》一书是根据日本北海道大学于1992年播出的电视讲座的配套教材编辑而成的。笔者选择进行翻译实践的文本为绘内正道所写的第九章《住宅的隔热与通风——从冬季应对措施到夏季应对措施的思考》、铃木宪三所写的第十章《隔热住宅的供暖——活用能源》和苫米地司所写的第十一章《雪的应对方法——副标题:住宅的换装术》三章内容。本实践报告以《北海道的住房》(节选)的翻译实践为例,将原文中出现的长句进行分类,并与笔者的译文进行对照分析,总结和归纳对具有这类特色的长句的处理方法。整篇报告由四个部分组成,首先在第一部分对选题背景、相关研究和实践内容进行介绍。然后在第二部分叙述本次报告中对长句的定义和分类。接着第三部分将例句分成两类,分析总结对不同类型长句的处理方法:第一种分类为在翻译时需要对词进行处理的长句,包括(1)多次出现同一词语的长句和(2)同时包含两个以上「そ」、「こ」的长句;第二种分类为在翻译时需要对句子结构和成分进行处理的长句,包括(1)包含多个并列关系的长句;(2)同时包含转折、因果等关系的长句;(3)主语成分省略的长句;(4)修饰成分过长的长句等。最后在第四部分对本次翻译实践进行总结和反思。
[Abstract]:Long sentence is a common form of language expression in Japanese. In addition to more words, it also has the characteristics of complex structure, long modifier, repetition of words and so on. Moreover, the length of long sentences also increases the difficulty of understanding Japanese itself to some extent. These factors determine the difficulty and complexity of translating Japanese long sentences, and make the translation of Japanese long sentences more valuable. Therefore, the study on translation techniques of long sentences also needs to be further improved and developed. Hokkaido House is compiled according to the supporting teaching materials of television lectures broadcast by Hokkaido University in 1992. Chapter 9, "Heat Insulation and ventilation of Residential Houses: from Winter to Summer", is written in the text of translation practice. Chapter 10 of Suzuki Heat-insulating Residential heating-Renewable Energy and Chapter 11 written by Shoumidi, "Snow coping methods-subtitle: housing replacement." Chapter 3. Taking the translation practice of Hokkaido Housing (excerpt) as an example, this report classifies the long sentences in the original text, compares them with the author's translation, and summarizes the methods of dealing with the long sentences with this kind of characteristics. The whole report consists of four parts. Firstly, the background, related research and practice are introduced in the first part. Then the second part describes the definition and classification of long sentences in this report. Then in the third part, the example sentences are divided into two categories, and the methods of dealing with different types of long sentences are analyzed and summarized. The first kind of sentences is classified as long sentences which need to be processed in translation. It includes (1) long sentences with the same words and (2) long sentences with two or more "Hu" and "Yi" simultaneously; The second category is a long sentence that needs to be processed in translation, including (1) a long sentence with multiple parallel relations, (2) a long sentence with a transition, causality, etc., (3) a long sentence with an ellipsis of the subject component, and (2) a long sentence with multiple parallel relations. (4) long sentences with long modifiers. Finally, in the fourth part, we summarize and reflect on the translation practice.
