纽马克文本分析理论指导下通信技术指导书汉英翻译实践报告

【摘要】：随着中国科技的不断进步,以及国际化程度日益增强,越来越多的科技企业开始开拓国际市场。在对外市场的开拓过程中,技术文档汉英翻译起到重要作用,优秀的英文技术文档能更快更高效传递信息和推广产品,对塑造企业形象极其重要。本文基于笔者在华为公司14万字的实践项目为语料,选取技术指导书为对象,以《无线网络规划与优化服务通用移动通信系统(UMTS)话务预测指导书》为例,从纽马克的文本分析理论的角度对技术文本翻译进行了反思性研究。基于以上实践,本文总结了笔者翻译实践中技术知识层面和语言层面的困难,在纽马克文本分析的宏观理论指导下,分析技术文本的类型和功能,发现了语义翻译和交际翻译对技术指导书有良好的指导作用,进而提出了具体的翻译策略。首先,针对技术知识层面的问题,总结出译者需从多渠道获取技术知识并对技术术语进行验证,如参考平行文本和语料库等,还需发挥译者主体性,对原文进行批判性思考,对其中的模糊信息与原作者沟通;其次,针对语言层面问题,译者需充分尊重原作者,传达精准信息,同时充分考虑读者感知与接受度,体现友好性。为此,需在强调原作者信息与结构的语义翻译和强调读者接受性与效果的交际翻译理念指导下,采用增译、省译、显化和重构等技巧,实现最佳融合。本实践报告从译者的主体性、实现作者信息与读者感知之间最佳融合的方面进行分析,为技术翻译的研究提供了新的角度。
[Abstract]:With the continuous progress of Chinese science and technology and the increasing degree of internationalization, more and more science and technology enterprises begin to open up the international market. In the process of opening up the foreign market, Chinese-English translation of technical documents plays an important role. Excellent English technical documents can transmit information and popularize products more quickly and efficiently, which is extremely important for shaping the image of enterprises. Based on the practical project of 140,000 words of Huawei Company, this paper selects the technical instruction as the object. Taking UMTS (Universal Mobile Communication system for Wireless Network Planning and Optimization Services) as an example, this paper makes a reflective study of technical text translation from the perspective of Newmark's text analysis theory. This paper summarizes the difficulties in technical knowledge and language in translation practice, and analyzes the types and functions of technical texts under the guidance of the macroscopic theory of Newmark text analysis. It is found that semantic translation and communicative translation play a good role in guiding technical guidance books, and then specific translation strategies are put forward. It is concluded that translators need to obtain technical knowledge from multiple sources and verify technical terms, such as referring to parallel texts and corpus, and so on. It is also necessary to give full play to the translator's subjectivity, to think critically about the original text, and to communicate the fuzzy information with the original author. Secondly, the translator should fully respect the original author, convey accurate information, and take full account of the reader's perception and acceptance to reflect friendliness. Under the guidance of the communicative translation concept, which emphasizes the semantic translation of the original author's information and structure and the reader's receptivity and effect, the author adopts the techniques of adding translation, saving translation, manifesting and reconstructing to achieve the best integration. The analysis of the best fusion between the author's information and the reader's perception provides a new perspective for the study of technical translation.
