MTI学生译员汉英双向交替传译中笔记语言与口译忠实度相关性的实证研究

【摘要】：在过去十年,中国口译学科发展势头良好,口译学习人数不断攀升,交替传译中的口译笔记语言选择是困扰很多口译初学者、学生译员、口译教师的一个问题,虽然对此的国内外研究层出不穷,但或多或少存在一些缺陷,如缺乏汉英双向交替传译中笔记语言选择研究、本科英语专业学生实验对象不具有口译员代表性和单纯关注笔记忽视口译产出质量等问题。本文在丹尼·吉尔的精力分配理论关照下,通过实证研究方法,结合定量和定性分析,对四川外国语大学MTI翻译硕士口译专业高年级10名硕士英汉语言组合双向交替传译的笔记语言成分与译文产出忠实度相关性进行研究,发现汉英和英汉双向交传中,实验对象的各笔记成分、笔记总量与产出忠实度相关性方向在双向交传中均一致:中文语言笔记、笔记单位总数均与口译产出忠实度均呈正相关;英文笔记与忠实度均呈负相关。通过线性回归分析发现,在英汉、汉英交传中中文笔记、英文笔记、笔记总量与忠实度的相关系数在数值上存在差异:在英汉交传中三者与忠实度相关性系数均大于0.2,相对更为明显,而汉英交传中仅有英文笔记与忠实度负相关相关性系数大于0.2,相对明显。通过定性分析,补充解释了这种相关方向一致的原因。本文承认口译忠实度影响因素众多,笔记语言选择不是根源,但是实验结果给我们的的启示是通过借用中文语言,衍生出的有效中文笔记单位(拼音、拼音缩写、偏旁部首和草书等特殊书法等)能够减少笔记在交传两个阶段中所占精力;而英文笔记的使用也应当固定含义,避免一个英文笔记含义过多过于模糊,造成解读困难甚至失败。
[Abstract]:In the past ten years, the development of interpretation in China has been good, and the number of interpreters has been increasing. The choice of note-taking language in consecutive interpretation is a problem that puzzles many beginners, students and teachers of interpretation.Although there are many domestic and international studies on this issue, there are some defects, such as the lack of the study on the choice of note-taking language in Chinese-English consecutive interpretation.The subjects of undergraduate English majors are not representative interpreters and simply pay attention to notes and ignore the quality of interpretation output.Under the guidance of Danny Gill's theory of energy distribution, this paper combines quantitative and qualitative analysis with empirical research methods.A study was made on the correlation between the components of note language and the fidelity of translation output in 10 senior students of MTI interpreting major in Sichuan Foreign Studies University. It was found that Chinese-English and English-Chinese bidirectional intersections were carried out.Each note component of the subjects, the direction of correlation between the total number of notes and the fidelity of the output are consistent in the two-way cross: the Chinese language notes, the total number of note units are positively correlated with the fidelity of interpretation output;There is a negative correlation between English notes and fidelity.By linear regression analysis, we found that Chinese notes, English notes and English notes in English, Chinese and English.The correlation coefficient between the total volume of notes and the fidelity is different in numerical value: the correlation coefficient between the three and the fidelity is greater than 0.2, which is more obvious than that between English and Chinese.However, only the negative correlation coefficient between English notes and fidelity is greater than 0.2, which is relatively obvious.By qualitative analysis, the reasons for the consistency of the related directions are explained.This paper acknowledges that there are many factors affecting the fidelity of interpreting, and that the choice of note-taking language is not the root. However, the inspiration of the experimental results is that the effective Chinese note-taking units (pinyin, pinyin abbreviations) are derived by borrowing the Chinese language.Special calligraphy such as partial radical and cursive calligraphy) can reduce the energy of notes in the two stages of handing in and the use of English notes should also fix the meaning to avoid an English note meaning too much too vague resulting in interpretation difficulties or even failure.
