【摘要】：中国外销瓷在世界陶瓷史上占有不可替代的地位。瓷器具有极高的实用性和艺术价值,是人们认识和了解当时政治、经济、文化和社会生活的重要参照。随着中西文化交流的深入发展以及大众对外销瓷的日趋关注,对外销瓷的研究具有重大的学术价值和现实意义。Chinese Export Porcelain in North America一书不仅列举了大量精美的中国外销瓷,还详细地介绍了16世纪末至20世纪初中国瓷器销往北美的历史背景、经过和社会影响,讲述了有关贸易、航海、探索、沉船、考古等精彩故事。其汉译能够进一步满足大众对中国外销瓷的文化需求,也有利于推动国内对中国外销瓷的进一步研究。本篇实践报告首先介绍了翻译任务的背景,目的和结构;接着阐述了陶瓷翻译的语言特征及翻译准备工作;随后结合对等理论分析翻译实践中所采用的翻译方法及其策略;最后总结了本次翻译过程中出现的问题与不足,收获和启发。翻译实践表明,译者首先要掌握基本的陶瓷英语词汇,还需对陶瓷的历史文化具备一定的了解。此外,广泛涉猎跨学科知识更有助于陶瓷翻译的进行。
[Abstract]:China's export porcelain occupies an irreplaceable position in the history of world ceramics. Porcelain has an extremely high practical and artistic value. It is an important reference for people to know and understand the political, economic, cultural and social life at that time. With the deepening development of cultural exchanges between China and the West and the increasing attention of the public to the outside China, the research on the porcelain is of great importance. The great academic value and practical significance.Chinese Export Porcelain in North America not only enumerates a large number of exquisite Chinese export porcelain, but also details the historical background of the Chinese porcelain sold to North America from the end of the sixteenth Century to the early twentieth Century, and through the influence of the society, narrates the wonderful reasons of trade, navigation, exploration, sinking ship, archaeology, etc. The Chinese translation can further satisfy the cultural demand for the Chinese export porcelain and further study the Chinese export porcelain. This paper first introduces the background, the purpose and the structure of the translation task, and then expounds the linguistic features and the translation preparation of the translation of ceramics, and then combines the equivalence theory with the theory of equivalence. The translation methods and strategies used in the translation practice are analyzed. Finally, the problems and shortcomings in the process of translation are summarized, and the translation practice shows that the translator should first master the basic vocabulary of the ceramic English and have a certain understanding of the history and culture of the ceramics. The translation of ceramics is carried out.
