《浩劫重生》翻译实践报告

【摘要】:中东、北非的地区冲突引发的难民危机引起国际社会的广泛关注。本书原名Cast Away,译名《浩劫重生》,出版于2016年5月,作者为夏洛特麦克唐纳吉普森,书中生动向我们展示了战乱中中东及非洲人民真实的生存状况,译者选择本书作为翻译材料,共译字数10304,包括三位主人公的故事——西娜、马吉德和纳尔特,旨在生动地向人们展示他们面临的困境、压力、选择以及希望,借此引发人们对战争的思考。本译文采用尤金奈达的功能对等理论为指导,并运用归化的翻译策略,欲实现原文与译文在词汇、句法和篇章上的对等,主要对专有名词,文化负载词,长句和被动句以及情景语境进行了研究,并给出具体翻译技巧如加注法、转换法、增译法、倒置法等,使译文更符合目的语读者的阅读习惯。译者希望通过对本文的翻译,能够对所学翻译理论有进一步深入了解,并灵活运用指导翻译实践,为以后叙事性非小说文体的翻译提供参考。
[Abstract]:Regional conflicts in the Middle East and North Africa have caused widespread international concern over refugee crises. The book, originally translated as Cast Away, was published in May 2016 by Charlotte? McDonald? Gyibug Sen, the book vividly shows the true living conditions of the people of the Middle East and Africa during the war. The translator chooses the book as the translation material, with a total of 10304 words, including the stories of the three protagonists-Xena, Meguid, and Narth. The aim is to vividly show people the dilemmas, pressures, choices and hopes that they face, thereby provoking people to think about war. Under the guidance of Eugeniada's functional equivalence theory and the domesticated translation strategy, this translation aims to achieve lexical, syntactic and textual equivalence between the original text and the target text, mainly in terms of proper nouns and culture-loaded words. The long sentence, passive sentence and situational context are studied, and the specific translation techniques such as adding note method, conversion method, additional translation method and inversion method are given to make the translation more in line with the reading habits of the target language readers. Through the translation of this thesis, the translator hopes to have a better understanding of the translation theory, and to guide the translation practice flexibly, thus providing a reference for the later translation of narrative non-novel style.
