[Abstract]:Economic globalization is unstoppable, China's reform and opening-up is deepening, and international bidding plays an important role in international trade activities such as the sale of bulk goods, the contracting and contracting of construction projects, as well as the procurement and supply of projects. In accordance with international practice, international tender documents need to be prepared in English, even if prepared in other languages, additional documents in English, in case of disagreement, the English text shall prevail. Therefore, the accurate translation of international bidding documents can be regarded as the cornerstone of the success of bidding activities. In order to be able to accurately translate the tender documents, many scholars have carried on the inquiry. On the basis of the English-Chinese translation of the tender for Singapore subway project, the author systematically expounds the linguistic features and translation criteria of the English tender from the aspects of vocabulary, syntax and discourse, combining with the research achievements of previous scholars. As far as vocabulary is concerned, more professional terms and acronyms, synonym pairs and formal words should be used to make full use of the context and maintain the original form in translation. As far as syntax is concerned, English tendering documents often use four types of sentence patterns: complex long sentences, ending sentences with nouns or nominal phrases as subject, passive voice, and sentences with "shall" as modal verbs. In translation, we should fully consider the differences between English and Chinese and the universal use of Chinese to achieve a proper transformation of sentence patterns. As far as discourse is concerned, first, (a) English invitation to bid adopts formal style, second, (b) English often uses bold, italic and other forms to express specific meanings. Thirdly, the (c) invitation to bid is an information style, so it is necessary to ensure the fluency and readability of the target language, so that the target language reader can get the same effect as the original reader in reading as much as possible. After consulting and reading the relevant papers, combined with the linguistic characteristics of the English invitation for bid and the practice of translating Singapore subway project tendering book into Chinese, the author applies Nida's "reverse change" theory and the French interpretive theory. This paper puts forward some theoretical methods and translation models which can be reasonably applied to the practice of Chinese translation of English tendering texts. The translation pattern consists of four steps:, (a) analysis and understanding of; (b) translation and reconstruction of; (d) translation proofreading by removing the language shell; (c) translation. This paper expounds in detail the process of the formation of this translation model, introduces the above four translation steps in detail, and illustrates the applicability of the translation model in the practice of Chinese translation of English tendering books with a large number of examples. Explain its application in detail. In addition, the author uses translation examples to introduce and analyze the application of the five commonly used translation methods in the process of Chinese translation of English tendering books: retranslation, augmentation, translation, reverse translation and deconstruction. On the basis of translation practice, this paper proposes a new translation model, illustrative details, and reasonable analysis. It is hoped that more translators will apply it to the translation of English tendering books in order to improve the quality of translation.
