《从冷战到热和平》（节选）翻译实践报告—政治类文本中词语和暗喻的翻译

【摘要】：此报告是基于《从冷战到热和平》一书所做的翻译实践报告。译者节选该书的序言和尾声两个章节,共计约一万字,作为报告的翻译材料。该书由曾任驻俄美国大使的迈克尔·麦克福尔所著,为一本典型的政治文本,主要介绍了美俄两国间的外交关系。此报告着重分析在翻译过程中出现的问题及其解决方法。首先,从词汇和修辞的两方面着手,将所有问题分为四个方面:隐含政治倾向和意识形态的词语、蕴含感情色彩的词语、特殊的政治术语、政治文本中暗喻的使用。之后以纽马克翻译交际理论为指导,针对这四类问题分别提出了不同的翻译方法,例如:直译、意译、直译加注释、转译、增译。并加以具体的例子,进一步阐释选择相应翻译方法的理由。
