七幕戏剧《苏伊士以东》（1-3幕）英汉翻译实践报告

　　 这是一篇英汉翻译实践报告,选自七幕戏剧《苏伊士以东》一至三幕。该剧本是由英国杰出的戏剧家威廉·萨默塞特·毛姆于1922年游历中国之后所著。该戏剧发生在中国北京,主要讲述了女主人公黛西与白人乔治和哈利三个人之间的爱情纠葛,目前尚无中文译本。该报告以维尔纳·科勒的“等效关系”翻译理论为基本指导,将翻译过程中遇到的诸多难题进行总结并归纳为以下三类:一、如何实现词的对等比如部分对等、零对等和反义对等;二、如何实现句子的对等比如语法结构、表达方式的对等;三、如何实现语境的对等比如情景语境、文化语境的对等。对于词的层面,译者将科勒的内涵对等作为实现英汉两种语言之间词的部分对等的基本目标,将延伸法作为基本翻译技巧。对于缺乏对等此种情况,译者将内涵对等作为实现零对等的基本目标,将推理法和代替法作为基本翻译技巧;将外延对等作为实现反意对等的基本目标,将反译法作为基本翻译技巧。对于句子层面,译者将形式对等作为实现语法结构对等的基本目标,将拆分法与组合法作为基本翻译技巧;将文本类型对等作为实现句子表达方式对等的基本目标,将转换法和重构法作为基本翻译技巧。对于语境层面,译者将文本类型对等作为实现情景语境对等的基本目标,将代替法和转换法作为基本翻译技巧;将语用对等作为实现文化语境对等的基本目标,将代替法作为基本翻译技巧。通过翻译实践,该报告认为戏剧翻译应遵循等效原则,合理地运用翻译技巧,尽可能地使译文语言符合戏剧语言通俗易懂、清晰直接、自然流畅的特点,使目标语对目标语接收者产生的效果与源语对源语接收者产生的效果相同。
