基于功能对等理论的The First Bad Man翻译实践报告

　　随着中国人民英文水平的整体提升以及全球“汉语热”进入新的阶段,中外文学作品交流愈益频繁,外国文学小说译本层出不穷,但译文良莠不齐,整体水平亟待提升。其中,有一类言情小说故事风格新颖脱俗,但语言相对生涩,节奏突兀,跳脱性强,逻辑关系较难把握,翻译工作难度较大。在本翻译实践报告中,笔者选取了美国作家Miranda July的长篇小说The First Bad Man,该小说就是这类言情小说的代表。以奈达“功能对等”理论为指导,从读者反映的角度出发,本文重点从原文本语言和行文风格两方面入手,分析了原文本的故事性、思想性、审美性特点,讨论了翻译的要点。在语言对等层面,分词汇对等与句子对等两个角度进行,运用了一词多义,一词同义,增译法,语序调整法,逻辑连接词的添加及视点转换法等翻译技巧;风格对等层面,主要探讨了简洁语言,插叙法及心理描写的翻译技巧。通过此次翻译实践,本文总结出,要达到最大程度上的对等,译者首先要对原文本及其相关背景与文化有深入的了解与把握;在翻译过程中,译者要充分考虑译语读者的思维模式与表达习惯,结合英汉两种语言在思维与表达上的不同,运用相关翻译技巧进行适当转化,从而能使译文读者...
