清末国际法翻译研究

　　鸦片战争之前,晚清政府自认为中国是东亚的中心,世界的中心,其他民族皆系夷狄、野蛮之民族,因而长期实行“闭关锁国”政策,拒绝与外界的一切往来。那时的大清帝国已然成为井底之蛙,难以知晓世界的潮流。这种状况一直持续到了1840年第一次鸦片战争的爆发。西方列强用坚船利炮打开中国国门,晚清政府不得不放弃“闭关锁国”政策,敞开国门,进入世界。鸦片战争之后,中国被迫与西方各国签订了一系列不平等条约,这些条约侵占了中国多项权益。晚清政府及一些有识之士意识到要想与西方列强进行平等谈判,首先需要的是了解西方的法律。进而,晚清时期掀起了西方法律翻译的潮流。其中最先传入到中国的西方法律著作是国际法。晚清统治者为了与西方列强进行斗争,也迫切需要引进国际法。因而,晚清政府及民间开始大规模的翻译国际法。本文采用文献研究方法,历史研究方法以及跨学科研究方法,对清末国际法翻译史进行研究,通过对史料的查阅与研究,梳理晚清时期国际法翻译的主要代表人物以及他们的翻译作品和翻译方法,并通过个案研究分析晚清国际法翻译对当时中国的外交、教育、政治思想及中国翻译史的影响。研究发现:（1）在晚清时期,对国际法引进翻译的主要代表人物有“...
