Basic Structures of Reality（节选）汉译实践报告

　　笔者此次研究的翻译任务是美国当代西方心灵哲学领域著名的哲学家柯林·麦金（Colin McGinn）近期的一本著作Basic Structure of Reality:Essays in Metaphysics的第十章和第十一章的前半部分。此部分是最能反应麦金最新哲学思想、也是观点极其新颖的一章,且就翻译难度来说,其间论证复杂,更为适合作为翻译研究的蓝本。笔者为了做好这一任务,认真学习了并且正在学习西方哲学史、心灵哲学与麦金哲学的知识,并阅读了大量的平行文本。笔者此次尝试运用彼得·纽马克的文本类型理论对所选材料从词、句、语篇三个角度进行分析,并分别探讨相应的翻译方法与技巧。本文主要由五部分组成:第一部分为此次翻译任务的介绍,包括背景、目的与意义。第二部分为此次翻译任务的流程,分别展示了作者在译前、译中、译后三个阶段对此次翻译文本所做的工作。第三部分介绍了纽马克的文本类型理论,哲学文本的大致特点以及该理论在此类文本中的可应用性。第四部分从词汇、句法、语篇三个层面对此次翻译材料进行了更深入的研究,提出了文本类型理论视角下的哲学文本的翻译技巧。第五部分总结此次翻译任务的收获与不足。
