《中国评论》刊载的中国典籍英译描写研究

　　《中国评论》是一份于清末在香港出版的西方世界第一份真正的汉学期刊,是西方了解中国的重要依据,具有重要的史料价值。该刊中中国汉语典籍英译涉及范围较广,选取《中国评论》中的中国典籍英译进行比较研究,文本全面,亦具代表性。目前学术界对于《中国评论》研究较少,已有研究主要集中对某一方面进行分析,如客家研究、法律文本、汉语语法研究等,而英译研究主要集中于某一类型如文学典籍类翻译研究,还有部分研究统计了所引汉语典籍,并对某些方面进行较为简单的论证或评述,可见其中刊载的典籍英译尚有很大研究空间。本研究以描述翻译学为理论视角,采用统计、大数据检索等方法进行比较研究,对汉语典籍英译情况进行描述,考查翻译目的和制约因素。具体研究步骤包括以下几个方面:（1）在《中国评论》找出汉语典籍英译的全部译文及其相关信息。（2）分类型、译者、国别、时段、汉语典籍所属时代等,进行分类统计。（3）描述分析统计数据,就重要原著、知名译者、数量较多的翻译等进行描述。（4）考查翻译选择背后的翻译目的和制约因素。研究发现:（1）《中国评论》上所译汉语典籍类型大致可分为诗歌、小说、赋、戏剧、法律、地理史籍、哲学、历史、笑话、故事集等...
