中美毕业典礼致辞中的语用身份建构

毕业典礼标志着毕业生完成学业,即将离开校园。大学校长毕业致辞是毕业典礼的重要组成部分,是大学生在校的“最后一课”,对毕业生有着非凡的意义。每逢毕业季,大学校长毕业致辞往往“金句百出”,成为讨论一时的社会热点。语用身份指特定的社会身份在语言交际中的实际运用和体现,具有突出的交际属性。说话人可根据交际对象和所处的交际情境随时调整自己的语用身份来达到交际目的。本文采用定量、定性结合的研究方法,搜集2012年—2018年中美大学毕业典礼校长致辞各50篇,建立语料库。利用AntConc3.5.8中的关键词检索功能,生成了中美毕业典礼致辞的搭配词表和关键词表,在将身份视作语用资源的指导下,以“语用身份建构的语言表征”为分析模型,对中美毕业典礼致辞中的人称代词、关键词、称呼语、新词和即时性词汇进行检索和分析,以揭示毕业典礼致辞语篇中的语用身份建构。通过对语料的分析,本文发现:毕业典礼致辞语篇主要以祝福、鼓励和教育毕业生为目的,大学校长通过在致辞中建构动态的语用身份来实现上述目的。在美国毕业典礼致辞中,大学校长通过运用正式的人称代词、称呼语,以个人对世界的贡献和高等教育对个人的重要性为主题,通过问题导...
