本次翻译实践报告所选取的源语文本为Janet M Bennett教授所主编的《跨文化能力百科全书》第44-61页内容。主编Janet M Bennett教授是全球跨文化教育和相关培训的领军人物,执掌美国跨文化交际学院,该协会是一个私人非营利性基金会,旨在培养人们对国际和国内文化差异的认识和欣赏。《跨文化能力百科全书》在跨文化能力及相关领域内缜密的一本资料,是一本在所有学术图书馆资料室内必备的权威参考资料。笔者所翻译的内容主要包括与不同背景和历史的人群之间的跨文化交际以及一些跨文化研究相关的主要理论知识。根据纽马克的文本类型理论,本文属于信息类文本,旨在传递跨文化相关知识,信息,观点以及事实,因此文本具有较强的逻辑性,一部分内容还具备着专业性。在翻译过程中发现原文包含有较多的词义延申,长难句以及特殊的文化表达方式,翻译过程中采用了语义翻译和交际翻译相辅相成的策略,运用多种翻译技巧来试图解决这些问题以达到比较理想的翻译效果。原文与译文之间也存在着一些句子成分转换,语义表达延申以及语序结构调整等变化。在此翻译报告中详细介绍并分析了一些比较典型的翻译技巧案例。通过此次翻译实践,译者希望提高翻译...
