同一理论视角下女王伊莉莎白二世圣诞演讲中亲民形象的树立

  2017年末,已经91岁高龄的英国女王伊丽莎白二世像往年一样,在平安夜发表了圣诞夜电视致辞,让听众近距离感受了皇室范儿的英语气概,就口语和专业化水准上来说是教科书级别。这也是女王可以直接公开发表自己看法的极少数场合之一,它的受欢迎程度和可获取性使它自然而然地成为了语言学研究的目标。演讲与修辞是不可分离的。本研究旨在从修辞角度出发,通过定量和定性研究,探索伯克同一修辞策略在女王的圣诞演讲中的具体使用特征,发现其同一修辞策略偏好,揭示女王的亲民形象成功树立的秘密。通过使用定量分析呈现出内容和形式上不同层面的不同同一策略的出现和使用频率,发现女王圣诞致辞的同一策略偏好;而定性分析可以验证和解释定量分析的结果,同时详细分析同一策略是如何在圣诞演讲中达到同一,揭示圣诞演讲受欢迎的原因;最后,在以上分析的基础上,探索女王如何具体使用同一策略树立了亲民形象,以期更加全面研究女王的圣诞演讲。本研究主要回答了两个研究问题:(1)女王圣诞演讲中同一策略的使用如何实现了与听众的同一?(2)与听众的同一具体是怎样成功树立了女王的亲民形象?由此研究发现了伯克同一修辞策略在女王的圣诞演讲中的广泛运用,为女王演讲的...
