文本类型理论指导下的《亚洲中学英语教育》(节选)翻译实践报告

本文为英译汉笔译实践报告。笔者以学术著作《亚洲中学英语教育》(Secondary School English Education i Asia)中的引言部分和第一部分第二章的汉译为例,以赖斯的文本类型理论为指导,分析总结了翻译实践中的问题与难点,并针对教育类信息型文本适用的翻译原则和方法进行了探讨与归纳。文本类型理论依据文本的功能将其划分为不同的类型。本报告所选的翻译素材介绍了亚洲的日本、韩国、印度、新加坡、以色列、马来西亚等国家的中学英语教育现状,是典型的教育类学术编著,以信息传递为主要功能,属于信息型文本。针对此类文本,赖斯提出了具体的翻译标准,即“保证原文内容不变、表达完整,语言简明并且译语表述规范”。根据赖斯对翻译标准的详细阐述,并结合本文翻译素材的语言特点,笔者从词、句、篇三个层面,按照“词义充分易选择、忠于句意传信息,语篇连贯是目标”的原则完成了对源文本的翻译任务。在此基础上,笔者通过具体的案例分析详述了如何通过注释、增译、重组法等翻译技巧,在从微观的词、句翻译到宏观的篇章翻译过程中达到赖斯对信息型文本的翻译要求。通过此次翻译实践,笔者认真反思了实践过程和翻译技巧的应用,...
