【摘要】：本报告是以译者独立完成的《安捷伦科技N8700系列系统直流电源用户指南》(第三章)说明书翻译实践项目为基础撰写完成的。使用说明书是介绍产品工作原理、操作及维护的一种书面材料。其语言特点主要包含以下四个方面:简洁性、客观性、逻辑性和高针对性。本报告是在目的论的指导下完成的。目的论的三原则:目的原则,连贯原则,实用原则贯穿着整个翻译过程。鉴于此,译者主要采用了如下的翻译策略:增译法、略译法、转化法、结构调整法、被动转换成主动、直译法和顺译法。使用说明书旨在帮助产品操作者正确地了解、使用和维修仪器设备,具有鲜明的目的性。故译者选取翻译策略时也应当以其最终的目的为出发点,力争产出简单易懂的译文,帮助产品使用者恰当地操作设备。因此,本报告的重点在于探讨产品说明书的翻译技巧。译者通过提出七种切实有效的翻译策略,以期提高翻译效率,给翻译从业人员一定的启示。翻译任务完成后,作者进行了自我评估,进一步完善了译文。同时委托方也给出了中肯的评价,使译者发现了自身的不足。由于时间紧,专业知识欠缺,翻译经验不足等诸多因素的影响,本翻译项目中依然存在不足之处。本次翻译项目的预期目标基本实现,译文质量符合委托方的要求,译者也获得了宝贵的翻译实践经验。
