基于语块理论的高中英语阅读教学实证研究

【摘要】：阅读理解已经成为高中生英语学习中最棘手的难题。所以,如何提高高中生英语阅读能力是广大教师最为关心的问题。迄今,国内外一些学者在语块和英语听力、语块和写作、语块和翻译方面进行了研究,然而将语块理论应用于高中英语阅读教学的研究还比较欠缺。语块,突破了传统意义上的词汇及搭配范围,已经扩大到语句甚至语篇范畴,有利于语篇理解能力的培养。所以,语块理论在英语阅读教学中的作用也显而易见。语块理论的提出为高中英语阅读教学提供了新的教学方式,它能够改变传统的运用语法翻译法的阅读教学方式。本文主要研究两个问题:(1)将语块理论应用于高中英语阅读教学,是否能够提高学生的语块辨别能力;(2)运用语块理论进行高中英语阅读教学,能否提高学生的阅读能力以及阅读准确性。笔者主要运用实证法探究语块理论运用于高中英语阅读教学的可行性和有效性。笔者进行了为期近四个月的实验,研究对象为安徽省宣城市某县城一中高一年级两个平行班,每个班50人,A班为实验班,B班为控制班,实验班在阅读教学中运用语块教学法,控制班依旧采用传统阅读教学法。作者分别对学生进行了两次问卷调查和阅读前测后测,然后对两次问卷调查结果进行分析对比,并用SPSS数据分析软件对前测后测数据进行统计、描述、分析、对比。最后得出结论:实验班后测单项和总体成绩高于控制班,证明语块理论应用于高中英语阅读教学,能够在一定程度上提高高中生英语语块辨识能力与阅读能力。本文共分为五章。第一章为绪论,介绍本文研究背景、研究问题、研究目的与意义以及论文框架;第二章为文献综述,简述了语块定义与分类、语块功能与特征以及阅读理论,并且还介绍了国内外将语块理论应用于高中英语阅读教学的研究现状;第三章为调查与实验研究,描述了研究方案、研究对象、研究工具以及实验研究过程;第四章分析讨论了研究的结果,包括调查问卷与阅读测试数据;第五章为结论,总结主要发现及研究结果,指出本研究对高中英语阅读教学的启示、局限性,展望未来研究前景。
[Abstract]:Reading comprehension has become the most difficult problem in senior high school students' English learning. Some scholars at home and abroad have carried out research on chunks and English listening, chunks and writing, chunks and translation. However, the application of lexical theory to English reading teaching in senior high schools is still lacking. It has broken through the traditional scope of vocabulary and collocation and has been extended to the category of sentence and even text, which is beneficial to the cultivation of discourse comprehension ability. The role of lexical theory in English reading teaching is also obvious, and it provides a new teaching method for senior high school English reading teaching. It can change the traditional teaching method of reading with grammatical translation. This paper focuses on two questions: 1) whether the application of lexical chunk theory to English reading teaching in senior high school can improve the students' discriminating ability of lexical chunks; (2) applying chunk theory to English reading teaching in senior high school. Whether or not to improve students' reading ability and reading accuracy. The author mainly explores the feasibility and effectiveness of applying chunk theory to English reading teaching in senior high school. The author has conducted an experiment for nearly four months. The subjects of the study were two parallel classes of grade one and grade one in a county town of Xuancheng, Anhui Province, with 50 students in each class and class A as the control class and class B as the control class. The experimental class used chunk teaching method in reading teaching. The control class still adopted the traditional reading teaching method. The author conducted two questionnaires and two post-reading tests respectively, and then analyzed and compared the results of the two questionnaires. The SPSS data analysis software is used to analyze, describe, analyze and compare the pre-test and post-test data. Finally, the conclusion is drawn that the post-test single item and the overall score of the experimental class are higher than those of the control class. It is proved that the application of lexical chunk theory to English reading teaching in senior high school can improve the ability of identifying and reading English chunks to a certain extent. This thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is an introduction, which introduces the background of this thesis. Research problems, research purposes and significance, and the framework of the paper; Chapter two is a literature review, which introduces the definition and classification of lexical chunks, the functions and characteristics of chunks and the reading theory. It also introduces the current situation of research on the application of chunks theory in senior English reading teaching at home and abroad. The third chapter is the investigation and experimental research, describes the research program, research objects, research tools and experimental research process; Chapter 4th analyzes and discusses the results of the study, including questionnaire and reading test data; Chapter 5th summarizes the main findings and findings, points out the implications and limitations of this study for senior high school English reading teaching, and looks forward to the future research prospects.
