高中生英语语用能力调查研究

【摘要】：在最近几十年,语用能力在语言学和英语教学领域内经常被讨论。语用能力是指为了达到特定的目的而得体地使用语言,以及能够在社会交往中理解语言的能力。并且,毋庸置疑,语用能力的欠缺会导致语用失误。作为交际能力的重要组成部分,先前对语用能力的研究大多数都是以英语专业学生、非英语专业学生、研究生、本科生、高职生和小学生为研究对象。然而,语用能力在高中英语教学中没有引起足够的关注,对高中生英语语用能力现状的研究较少。本文通过问卷调查和访谈的形式,对高中生英语语用能力进行了调查研究,描述了目前高中生英语语用能力现状,讨论了英语语言水平和语用能力的关系,以及分别探究了男生和女生在语用能力上是否存在差异性。通过12名受试者和10名高中英语教师,作者进一步了解到高中生语用能力的现状,并分析和阐述了高中生语用失误的原因,而且强调了在高中英语教学中培养高中生语用能力的必要性和可行性。统计结果显示:第一,从总体上来看,高中生英语语用能力比较低,其水平有待提高;第二,通过对比受试者的英语期末考试成绩和英语语用能力测试成绩,发现高中生英语语言能力和语用能力有一定的关联,但关联性不是很紧密;第三,男生和女生在英语语用能力上存在差异性;第四,高中生的语用失误主要来源于他们自身以及一些外在方面的原因。因此,培养高中生的英语语用能力是中国高中英语教学中刻不容缓的任务。根据调查分析结果,作者提出了相应的教学建议,希望能通过高中英语教学实践来促进高中生英语语用能力的提高。第一,提高教师和学生的文化意识;第二,更多地采用以语用为中心的教学方式;第三,提供一些以语用为中心的教学活动;第四,选择更多的语用教学材料;第五,丰富教师的语用知识以及鼓励教师在语用能力上的自我提高。
[Abstract]:In recent decades, pragmatic competence has often been discussed in the field of linguistics and English teaching. Pragmatic competence refers to the ability to use language appropriately for specific purposes and to be able to understand language in social interaction. There is no doubt that the lack of pragmatic competence can lead to pragmatic failure. As an important part of communicative competence, previous studies on pragmatic competence are mostly English majors, non-English majors, graduate students, undergraduate students. Higher vocational students and primary school students are the subjects of this study. However, pragmatic competence has not attracted enough attention in senior high school English teaching, and little research has been done on the present situation of high school students' pragmatic competence. This paper investigates the pragmatic competence of senior high school students, describes the present situation of English pragmatic competence in senior high school students, and discusses the relationship between English language proficiency and pragmatic competence. Through 12 subjects and 10 high school English teachers, the author further understands the present situation of high school students' pragmatic competence. The reasons of high school students' pragmatic failure are analyzed and expounded, and the necessity and feasibility of cultivating high school students' pragmatic competence in senior high school English teaching are emphasized. The English pragmatic competence of senior high school students is relatively low, and its level needs to be improved. Secondly, by comparing the subjects' English final test results with the English pragmatic competence test results, it is found that the high school students' English language competence and pragmatic competence are related to some extent. But the relevance is not very close; third, there are differences between boys and girls in English pragmatic competence; in 4th, the pragmatic failure of high school students mainly comes from themselves and some external reasons. It is an urgent task for senior high school students to cultivate their pragmatic competence in English teaching in China. Based on the results of the investigation, the author puts forward some teaching suggestions. It is hoped that the English pragmatic competence of senior high school students will be improved through the practice of English teaching in senior high school. First, the cultural awareness of teachers and students will be improved; second, more pragmatic teaching methods will be adopted; third, It provides some pragmatic centered teaching activities; 4th, selects more pragmatic teaching materials; 5th, enriches teachers' pragmatic knowledge and encourages teachers to improve themselves in pragmatic competence.
