基于顺应论的高中英语教师课堂语码转换的个案研究

【摘要】:语码转换作为一种普遍的语言现象已受到很多关注。近年来,国内外学者开始关注外语课堂中的语码转换。关于语码转换是否应该存在于外语课堂仍饱受争议。许多学者尝试从不同角度来分析语码转换。本研究旨在以维索尔伦的顺应论为基础来探究高中英语教师课堂上的语码转换,希望能促进英语教师正确使用语码转换。因此提出如下研究问题:(1)高中英语教师课堂语码转换的类型有哪些?(2)高中英语教师使用语码转换的功能有哪些?(3)从顺应论角度分析教师使用语码转换的原因是什么?为完成上述研究目的,本研究通过在沈阳市第二中学选取四名英语教师作为被试,并以课堂观察和访谈的形式展开高中英语教师课堂语码转换的研究。此外,作者还对四名教师的八节课堂进行了转写为分析做基础。研究结果表明高中英语教师在英语课堂上使用句内、句间、附加三种类型的语码转换。其中教师使用大量的句内语码转换,其次是附加语码转换,句间语码转换使用的最少。教师语码转换的使用主要受到学生语言水平和课程类型的影响。高中英语教师语码转换的功能可具体分为如下几种,即解释语言知识点、管理课堂、组织活动、做出总结、创造幽默的课堂环境、检测学生是否理解、重复强调重难点和顺应学生的语言水平。另外,教师在英语课堂使用语码转换主要是为了达到顺应的目的,即是为了顺应教师角色、课堂环境和教师心理动机从而实现教学目标。作者希望本论文所得出的结果对高中英语教学有积极的教学意义并为今后的研究提供有用的建议。
[Abstract]:As a common language phenomenon, code-switching has attracted much attention in recent years. Scholars at home and abroad have begun to pay attention to code-switching in foreign language classrooms. Whether code-switching should exist in foreign language classrooms is still controversial. Many scholars have tried to analyze code-switching from different angles. The purpose of this study is to analyze code-switching from different angles. Based on the theory of adaptation, the author explores the code-switching of English teachers in senior high school. It is hoped to promote the correct use of code-switching by English teachers. Therefore, the following research question is raised: 1) what are the types of code-switching in the classroom of senior English teachers? What are the functions of high school English teachers using code-switching? 3) what is the reason why teachers use code-switching from the perspective of adaptation theory? In order to accomplish the above research purpose, this study selected four English teachers from Shenyang No. 2 Middle School as subjects, and conducted a study on code-switching of senior high school English teachers in the form of classroom observation and interview. The results show that senior high school English teachers use sentences within and between sentences in English classroom. Three types of code-switching are attached. Among them, teachers use a large number of intra-sentence code-switching, followed by additional code-switching. The use of teacher code-switching is mainly influenced by the students' language level and curriculum type. The functions of code-switching in senior English teachers can be divided into the following: explaining the language knowledge points and managing the classroom. Organizing activities, summing up, creating humorous classroom environment, testing students' understanding, repeating emphasis on difficult points and adapting to students' language proficiency. In addition, teachers use code-switching in English classes mainly to achieve the purpose of adaptation. In order to adapt to the teacher's role, classroom environment and teachers' psychological motivation, the author hopes that the results obtained in this paper will have positive teaching significance for senior high school English teaching and provide useful suggestions for future research.
