高中生英语词汇学习策略调查研究

【摘要】: 目前我国在英语词汇教学研究中,针对不同层次的英语学习者词汇学习策略的研究不足,尤其是对高中生英语词汇学习策略的研究较少而且也不系统。本论文以此为切入点,根据Gu和Johnson (1996)、Oxford (1990)和Horwitz(1987)等的理论或观点,采用调查问卷、访谈、词汇测试等研究工具,对长春市某中学144名高中生英语词汇学习策略的选择与使用情况进行了调查研究,从而揭示高中生对英语词汇学习策略的态度、观念和策略使用的性别异同性等方面的情况。本论文分为五个部分。第一部分,简要陈述研究背景,本研究的目的、意义和价值,并简要介绍本论文的结构。第二部分回顾了相关的词汇学习策略的定义和分类方面的研究成果,特别介绍了机械式词汇学习策略;此外,还概述了一些影响词汇学习策略选择的因素。第三部分介绍了本次研究的方法及在吉林省长春市某个中学采集数据的过程。第四部分通过数据分析,探讨了高中生对英语词汇学习策略的态度以及选择情况,揭示了影响学生词汇学习策略选择的一些因素,如学习策略观念、态度、性别及动机等。最后在第五部分中,总结了在中国的教学与学习环境下高中生英语词汇学习策略的使用情况。本研究根据调查问卷、访谈收集的数据及相关信息,分析后发现高中生使用了多种多样的词汇学习策略,而机械式学习策略是最常用的一种。其主要原因是为了应付考试。另外,性别差异对于词汇学习策略也有选择性的影响。根据相关数据分析得出的结论不仅可以为今后进一步深入地研究英语词汇学习策略奠定基础,而且能为高中英语教学提供有益的建议与帮助。教师应该精心挑选合适的学习策略组织英语教学,同时注重培养学生自主学习自我管理的能力。
[Abstract]:At present, there is a lack of research on vocabulary learning strategies of English learners at different levels in our country, especially for senior high school students.Based on the theories and viewpoints of Gu and Johnson 1996 / Oxford / 1990 and Horwitz / 1987), this paper uses questionnaire, interview, vocabulary testing and other research tools.This paper investigates the choice and use of English vocabulary learning strategies among 144 senior high school students in a middle school in Changchun, so as to reveal their attitudes towards English vocabulary learning strategies, gender similarities and differences in concepts and use of strategies, and so on.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part briefly describes the research background, the purpose, significance and value of this study, and briefly introduces the structure of this paper.The second part reviews the definition and classification of vocabulary learning strategies, especially introduces the mechanical vocabulary learning strategies, and summarizes some factors that affect the choice of vocabulary learning strategies.The third part introduces the method of this study and the process of collecting data in a middle school in Changchun, Jilin Province.The fourth part discusses the attitude and choice of senior high school students towards English vocabulary learning strategies through data analysis, and reveals some factors that affect students' choice of vocabulary learning strategies, such as learning strategy concept, attitude, gender and motivation.Finally, in the fifth part, the author summarizes the use of English vocabulary learning strategies of senior high school students in Chinese teaching and learning environment.According to the questionnaire, the data collected by interviews and related information, it is found that senior high school students use a variety of vocabulary learning strategies, and mechanical learning strategies are the most commonly used.The main reason is to prepare for the exam.In addition, gender differences have a selective effect on vocabulary learning strategies.The conclusion obtained from the analysis of relevant data can not only lay the foundation for further study on vocabulary learning strategies in the future, but also provide useful advice and help for English teaching in senior high school.Teachers should carefully select appropriate learning strategies to organize English teaching, and pay attention to cultivating students' ability of self-management in autonomous learning.
