高中生英语写作中的口语化倾向研究

【摘要】:近年来,我国学者和研究人员主要从写作技巧,写作策略、写作教学和英语写作影响因素等角度对外语写作进行了大量的研究。在二语写作中,口语化现象逐渐引起国内外学者的重视。口语化倾向是指在正式文体中,作者不恰当地使用使用非正式的词汇,短语以及句型等表达方式。一些国内学者主要对我国高水平英语学习者书面语中的口语化现象进行研究,结果表明学生在写作中存在着明显的口语化倾向。其中,文秋芳(2003)的研究表明,在高水平英语学生写作中,口语化现象已经频繁出现,并严重影响了学生的写作质量。然而,笔者发现,鲜有学者对高中生英语写作中的口语化现象进行研究。为了观察中国高中生英语写作中的口语化倾向,本文采用定量分析和定性分析相结合的方法,以深圳第二外国语学校高二年级学生为研究对象,将学生英语写作中的80篇议论文转化为文本资料,利用多种研究工具将文本资料加以分类处理并进行讨论。具体来说,首先,作者从整体上对文本进行分析,分别从词汇密度、词汇频度、读者作者显现度等多个维度对文本数据进行分析;其次,作者将文本资料细化,分别从词汇、句法、语篇等多个层面对文本资料所呈现出的口语化倾向进行分析与讨论。通过客观呈现文本资料在口语化倾向方面的特征,作者旨在帮助高中生提高英语写作能力,以及为高中英语教学提供一些有效的借鉴。本文将着力于回答以下三个研究问题:1、高中生英语写作中存在哪些显著的特征?2、口语化倾向在高中生英语写作中如何呈现?3、导致高中生英语写作中的口语化倾向的大致因素有哪些?本文的研究结果表明:1、当前,在高中生英语议论文中存在着明显的口语化现象。2、高中生英语议论文写作中的口语化现象在词汇、句法、语篇等三个方面存在着明显的特征。具体来说,在词汇方面主要是使用缩写词和缩略词,作者的主观参与,使用较多的模糊限制语和词义太广泛的词汇,以及大量使用短语动词。在句法方面,主要是过度使用人称代词,固定句式以及一些强调性语句,使用大量的省略情况以及较多的主动语态句型。在语篇方面,主要是对写作话题的布局不足以及对上下文衔接语的使用过于口语化。3、多种因素导致高中生英语议论文写作中出现大量口语化现象,比如有限的词汇量,匮乏的写作指导,母语的负迁移影响,听说读写的外语学习顺序,当前的外语学习环境,以及一些其他的因素。
[Abstract]:In recent years, Chinese scholars and researchers have made a great deal of research on foreign language writing from the aspects of writing skills, writing strategies, writing teaching and influencing factors of English writing. In second language writing, the phenomenon of colloquialization has gradually attracted the attention of scholars at home and abroad. Colloquial tendency refers to the improper use of informal words, phrases and sentence patterns in formal stylistics. Some domestic scholars have mainly studied the phenomenon of colloquialization in written language of high-level English learners in China. The results show that there is an obvious tendency of colloquialization in writing. Among them, Wen Qiufang's research shows that colloquial phenomenon has appeared frequently in high level English students' writing, which has seriously affected the students' writing quality. However, the author finds that few scholars study the colloquial phenomenon in senior high school students' English writing. In order to observe the oral tendency of Chinese senior high school students in English writing, this paper adopts the method of quantitative analysis and qualitative analysis to study the students of Grade 2 of Shenzhen second Foreign language School. In this paper, 80 argumentative papers in English writing are transformed into text materials, and text materials are classified and discussed by various research tools. Specifically, first of all, the author analyzes the text from the perspective of lexical density, lexical frequency, reader's author appearance and other dimensions. Secondly, the author refines the text data, and analyzes the text data from the vocabulary, respectively. This paper analyzes and discusses the colloquial tendency of textual materials at syntactic and textual levels. Through the objective presentation of the colloquial tendency of textual materials, the author aims to help high school students improve their English writing ability and provide some effective reference for senior high school English teaching. This paper will focus on answering the following three research questions: 1, what are the salient features of senior high school students' English writing, and how oral tendency presents in senior high school students' English writing, which leads to oral tendency in senior high school students' English writing. What are the general factors? The results of this study show that at present, there are obvious colloquial phenomena in senior high school students' English argumentations. The colloquialization of senior high school students' English argumentative writing is characterized by three aspects: vocabulary, syntax and discourse. Specifically, in terms of vocabulary, acronyms and abbreviations are mainly used, the author's subjective participation, the use of more hedges and words with a wide range of meanings, as well as a large number of phrasal verbs. In syntactic aspect, it mainly uses personal pronouns, fixed sentences and some emphatic sentences, uses a large number of omissions and more active voice sentence patterns. In the aspect of discourse, it is mainly due to the insufficient layout of writing topics and the use of contextual cohesion. A variety of factors lead to a large number of colloquial phenomena in senior high school students' English argumentative writing, such as limited vocabulary size. Lack of writing instruction, negative transfer of mother tongue, order of listening, speaking, reading and writing, current foreign language learning environment, and some other factors.
