【摘要】：小品文历史悠久,多姿多彩,堪称中国古代文化典籍中的一朵奇葩。本次翻译实践挑选了二十篇明清时期的寓言类小品文进行英译,并在此基础上完成实践报告。报告首先综述了研究背景和意义,其次分析原文本的主要内容和语言特色:小品文大多短小精悍,传递了作者对世态的讽刺以及人生感悟。原文本为文言文,句中省略主语、宾语以及介词等现象较为普遍。笔者在翻译时以诺德的翻译文本分析模式为基础,采用了“纪实翻译”和“工具翻译”等策略。在案例分析中讨论了文化负载词的译法,以及原文本中有关抒情功能、评价功能、劝告功能、教育功能的翻译处理等。最后,笔者总结本次翻译实践中的经验教训,以期在今后的翻译实践中取得进步。
