从认知隐喻视角小议《丰乳肥臀》中的明喻翻译

【摘要】：在认知隐喻视角下,明喻是广义上的"隐喻"。莫言的《丰乳肥臀》第一卷中有112个明喻,体现小说瑰丽而魔幻的风格。在葛浩文的英译中,约80%的明喻翻译保留了本体和喻体,一方面是因为中西方文化的认知经验和认知模型有一定的相似性,另一方面是为了向目的语读者忠实传递原著的文化信息和写作风格。对于两种文化中不兼容的明喻目的域,译者采取了替换和省略等翻译方法,以符合目的语读者的隐喻认知范畴,强化原文的风格。符合目标读者认知的英译才能引领中国文学走向世界。
[Abstract]:From the perspective of cognitive metaphor, similes are "metaphors" in a broad sense. There are 112 metaphors in the first volume of Mo Yan's Rich Breast, which embodies the magnificent and magical style of the novel. About 80% of metonymy translation retains ontology and metaphor, on the one hand, because of the similarity of cognitive experience and cognitive models between Chinese and western cultures. On the other hand, in order to convey the original cultural information and writing style faithfully to the target language readers, the translator adopts the translation methods such as substitution and ellipsis for the incompatible metonymy target domain in the two cultures. With the metaphorical cognitive category of the target language readers, the style of the original text should be strengthened, and the English translation in accordance with the target readers' cognition can lead Chinese literature to the world.
