【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译报告,原文选自《莱特兄弟》第五章。《莱特兄弟》是一篇人物传记,由美国作家,小说家,历史学家和演讲家大卫·麦卡洛所写,讲述了莱特兄弟遭受挫折后最终实现他们梦想的故事,而所选章节重点讲述莱特兄弟的实验过程及其结果。本项目主要以尤金·奈达的对等翻译理论为指导,旨在使目标语读者更加清晰地理解原文的语境意义。在翻译过程中,译者遇到的翻译难点包括术语、修辞手法、长句和被动语态,针对以上难点所采用的翻译方法分别为直译加注、直译、拆分以及语态转换,从而使译文更加忠实通顺,有助于读者的理解。本项目希望能为目标语读者了解莱特兄弟的人生经历提供详实信息的同时,也能锤炼译者的翻译能力,具有一定的价值和意义。
[Abstract]:This is a translation from the Wright Brothers 5th. The Wright Brothers is a biography by David McCullough, an American writer, novelist, historian, and speaker. It tells the story of the Wright brothers who eventually realized their dream after they suffered a setback, and the selected chapters focus on the Wright brothers' experimental process and their results. This project is guided by Eugene Nida's theory of equivalence translation. The aim is to make the target language readers have a clearer understanding of the contextual meaning of the original text. In the process of translation, the translation difficulties encountered by the translator include terms, rhetorical devices, long sentences and passive voice. For the above difficulties, the translation methods are literal annotation, literal translation, split and voice conversion, so as to make the translation more faithful and smooth. The purpose of this project is to provide detailed information for the target readers to understand the Wright brothers' life experience, and also to improve the translator's translation ability, which is of certain value and significance.
