【摘要】：《经济学人》是一本全球闻名的优秀杂志,观点鲜明,分析深入,视角独特,颇具影响力。翻译该杂志不仅有助于积累翻译经验,提高翻译水平,更是对于帮助中国读者透过国际视角了解世界,并以客观、真实的态度审视自身具有重要意义。本翻译实践报告首先从分析《经济学人》的写作特点入手。因目标受众是受过高等教育的社会精英,该杂志对新闻中大量出现的专业词汇并不加以解释;为了在短小的篇章中传达尽可能多的信息,常常使用复杂句型;其写作风格诙谐幽默,又不失严谨和力度。本报告深入分析这些特点给读者造成的理解障碍,和由此产生的翻译难点。奈达的功能对等理论认为,原文与译文应使读者产生相同的反应,既关注内容,也不轻易舍弃形式。结合该理论,本报告分别提出解决这些翻译问题的可行策略,并配合实例加以解释。本报告通过研究《经济学人》的翻译,积累了新闻翻译的经验,深入了对于相关翻译策略的思考。同时,通过加强学习翻译理论,并尝试使用理论切实指导翻译实践,重新认识了翻译理论的地位和作用,也加深了对翻译的理解。
[Abstract]:The Economist is a world-famous magazine with bright, deep analysis, unique perspective and great influence. Translation of the magazine not only helps to accumulate translation experience, but also to improve translation level. To help Chinese readers understand the world through an international perspective, and to help them understand the world objectively. It is of great significance to examine one's own true attitude. This translation practice report begins with an analysis of the writing characteristics of the Economist, because the target audience is a highly educated social elite. The magazine does not explain the number of professional words appearing in the news; often uses complex sentence patterns to convey as much information as possible in short text; and its style of writing is humorous. The present report makes an in-depth analysis of the obstacles to understanding these characteristics and the translation difficulties arising therefrom. Nida's functional equivalence theory holds that the original text and the target text should produce the same response and focus on the content. Nor is it easy to give up form. Combined with this theory, this report separately proposes feasible strategies for solving these translation problems and explains them in conjunction with examples. This report has accumulated experience in news translation by studying the translation of the Economist. At the same time, by strengthening the study of translation theory and trying to guide translation practice with the help of translation theory, we can re-understand the position and function of translation theory and deepen our understanding of translation.
