词汇衔接视角下英译汉中的词义选择

【摘要】：长期以来,意义研究在翻译研究中占有显著地位。词义的选择是意义研究中基本的问题。国内外专家学者对词义的选择开展了广泛研究,取得了累累硕果,但是这些研究大都从语境、语用和文化等角度展开,相比较而言,译者从衔接和连贯角度对词义选择过程进行的研究较少。本课题拟借助词汇衔接视角探讨词义问题。词汇衔接,作为语篇中两个或多个存在语义联系的成分间有形的连接方式,是实现语篇连贯的有效手段。自1976年韩礼德和哈桑首次提出,词汇衔接就此成为语篇研究领域中最常用术语之一。韩礼德和哈桑在《英语的衔接》一书中将词汇衔接分为复现和同现两类。复现通过词汇重复得以实现,同现则通过词项之间的搭配或共现同一话语范围得以实现。本课题借助词汇衔接理论的视角,通过对英语语篇中同现和复现衔接模式中基于重复、同义、上下义、反义、整体—部分以及笼统词—具体词等语义关系的词汇链进行分析,探究翻译过程中信息处理的规律,阐释译者词义的选择过程,为实现译文的准确性和流畅性提供理论依据。
[Abstract]:For a long time, the study of meaning has played an important role in translation studies. The choice of word meaning is the basic problem in the study of meaning. Experts and scholars at home and abroad have carried out extensive research on the choice of word meaning, and have made great achievements. However, most of these studies are carried out from the perspectives of context, pragmatics and culture. There is little research on the process of lexical meaning selection from the perspective of cohesion and coherence. In this study, lexical cohesion is used as a tangible connection between two or more semantic components in a discourse. Since Halliday and Hasan first proposed in 1976, Lexical cohesion has thus become one of the most commonly used terms in discourse studies. In cohesion in English, Halliday and Hasan divide lexical cohesion into two categories: repetition and co-occurrence. Repetition is achieved through lexical repetition. Cooccurrence is realized by collocation or co-occurrence of the same utterance between words. From the perspective of lexical cohesion theory, this thesis aims to analyze the lexical cohesion patterns in English discourse based on repetition, synonym, upper and lower meanings, and antonyms. The whole part and the lexical chain of the semantic relations such as general words and concrete words are analyzed to explore the rules of information processing in the process of translation and to explain the process of choice of the translator's word meaning so as to provide a theoretical basis for the accuracy and fluency of the translation.
