民国档案公文格式汉译英初探

【摘要】：历史档案翻译应遵循"忠实于原文,表达通顺的译入语,符合文本内容的专业规定,追求‘诸者平衡’"等原则。但在翻译实践中,这些原则需要根据具体情况进行调适。政府公文是民国档案的大宗之一,公文术语及格式是影响翻译质量的重要因素,术语翻译重在考证,格式句则取决于对原文的现代汉语转换以及对译文的简化。民国以来的汉英词典等工具书,对术语、专有名词的翻译可能存在误差,引用时需反复斟酌。
[Abstract]:The translation of historical archives should follow the principles of "being faithful to the original text, expressing smoothly in the target language, conforming to the professional regulations of the content of the text, and pursuing the" balance among the parties ". These principles need to be adjusted according to the specific circumstances. Government documents are one of the most important documents in the Republic of China. The terms and format of official documents are the important factors affecting the quality of translation, and the translation of terms focuses on textual research. Since the Republic of China, reference books such as Chinese-English dictionaries may have errors in the translation of terms and proper nouns.
