功能对等理论指导下的《灾难幸存者》（第21章）翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本篇翻译实践报告是以弗兰克·克莱克的回忆录《灾难幸存者》的第二十一章为原文文本,并选取《主赞助商》这一章节进行翻译实践。在完成翻译的过程中,为了充分再现原文文本的风格和特点,笔者运用了尤金·奈达的功能对等理论进行指导。本书记录的是主人公——弗兰克·克莱克,在新千年十几年来在经济全球化背景下的创业历程及其所经历的文化碰撞。在翻译实践过程中,根据文本特点,笔者发现一些词汇和句子值得分析。词汇层面中,专业术语、一词多义和文化词较多,在不同的语境和情况,笔者采用了不同的方法,如:直译、意译、增译等等。鉴于原文读者和译文读者文化差异,若直译无法使文本对等,笔者则采用意译,加注和增译的方法以达到功能对等。句法层面中,文中短句、比喻句以及描述性的句子较多,其中连续短句较多的情况下,多采用增译法和合译法。为了保持原文风格,传递作者意图,比喻句多采用直译法,若直译可能引起误解则采用意译和增译的方法。描述性的句子则要结合语境,展现出原文风格,使译文更加流畅、自然、对等。从翻译实践中选出实例进行分析后得出初步结论为:在功能对等理论指导下可以运用以上翻译策略翻译该文本。
[Abstract]:This translation practice report is based on the original text of the 21th chapter of Frank Creek's memoir, "disaster survivors," and selects the chapter "main sponsor" for translation practice. In order to fully reproduce the style and characteristics of the original text, the author uses Eugene Nida's functional equivalence theory to guide it. In the new millennium, the course of entrepreneurship and the cultural collision experienced in the context of economic globalization. In the process of translation, according to the characteristics of the text, the author finds that some words and sentences are worth analyzing. There are many polysemous and cultural words. In different contexts and situations, the author adopts different methods, such as literal translation, free translation, additional translation, etc. In view of the cultural differences between the readers of the original text and the readers of the target text, if the literal translation cannot make the text equivalent, In the syntactic level, there are more short sentences, more figurative sentences and more descriptive sentences. In order to maintain the original style and convey the author's intention, figurative sentences often adopt literal translation, and if literal translation may cause misunderstanding, they adopt free translation and additional translation. Descriptive sentences are combined with context. Through the analysis of examples from translation practice, it is concluded that the above translation strategies can be used to translate the text under the guidance of functional equivalence theory.
