图式理论在高职高专英语阅读教学中的应用研究

【摘要】：阅读是外语学习者信息输入的主要途径,它对外语学习起着重要作用。然而在目前的英语教学过程中,还存在着很多问题,给教师带来麻烦,也使学生在阅读方面表现欠佳。图式理论认为阅读理解是读者的背景知识与语言材料之间相互作用的过程。如果读者能到有效掌握图式理论,他们的阅读水平也会得到显著提高。本论文尝试研究图式理论在高职高专英语阅读教学中的应用。首先,就学生对于英语阅读的整体认知和态度进行问卷调查。然后选取实验班和控制班,前者使用图式理论为指导的教学方法,后者使用传统教学法。实验教学前后进行前测和后测。本论文研究问题如下:(1)实验组和控制组的学生对于英语阅读理解的看法和态度上有显著差异吗?(2)图式理论有助于提高学生的阅读能力吗?(3)在英语阅读中,学生偏爱哪些有效的阅读策略?研究发现,在学习技巧和策略、对待英语阅读的态度方面,实验组和控制组的学生自我评价相似;通过实验教学的前后成绩测试发现,试验组的后测成绩明显高于前测成绩,且提升幅度较大。与此相对照的是,对照组的后测成绩虽然略高于前测成绩,但提升幅度很小,进步不明显。这说明以图式理论为基础的阅读教学方法对于提高学生的阅读水平起到了积极的作用。此外,研究还发现了学生偏爱的排在前三位的有效的阅读策略。研究证明,把图式理论应用于高职英语阅读教学,不仅能提高学生的积极性,更能使学生掌握有效的英语阅读方法与策略,从而提高他们的英语阅读水平。
[Abstract]:Reading is the main way for foreign language learners to input information, and it plays an important role in foreign language learning. However, there are still many problems in the process of English teaching, which brings trouble to teachers. Schema theory holds that reading comprehension is a process of interaction between the reader's background knowledge and language material. If the reader can effectively master schema theory, This thesis attempts to study the application of schema theory in English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges. First of all, A questionnaire survey was conducted on the students' overall cognition and attitude towards English reading. Then the experimental class and the control class were selected. The former used schema theory as the instruction method. The latter uses the traditional teaching method. The pre-test and post-test before and after the experimental teaching. Are there any significant differences between the students of the experimental group and the control group in their views and attitudes towards English reading comprehension? Does schema theory help to improve students' reading ability? What effective reading strategies do students prefer in English reading? The study found that the students in the experimental group and the control group had similar self-evaluation in terms of learning skills and strategies and attitudes towards English reading, and that the post-test scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the pre-test group. In contrast, the post-test scores in the control group were slightly higher than those in the pre-test group, but the increase was very small. This shows that the teaching method based on schema theory plays a positive role in improving students' reading level. In addition, the study also found that students prefer the first three effective reading strategies. Applying schema theory to English reading teaching in higher vocational colleges can not only improve students' enthusiasm, but also make students master effective reading methods and strategies, thus improving their English reading level.
