分级显性意义假说视角下经济隐喻的汉译研究

【摘要】:近年来,全球经济一体化步伐快速推进。我国对外贸易往来日益增多,人们开始更多地关注经济领域的相关信息,因此大量英文财经文本得以引入。然而,经济文本中经常出现的一些有关经济学的理论、行为或现象对于普通读者而言大多复杂难辨、抽象晦涩。文本撰写者大多采用隐喻来解决这一难题。因此,英文财经文本中大量存在的隐喻成为了译者翻译过程中的一个难关。此外,隐喻翻译恰当与否直接关系着经济信息的获取度和读者的阅读体验。以此为出发点,本文以分级显性意义假说(GSH)为理论视角,基于环球网财经新闻编译实践项目(95篇英语经济文本/中48,497/英41,106),从词汇通达和认知推理两个维度来探讨英文财经文本中的隐喻翻译。为实现该研究目的,本论文采用权威隐喻鉴别步骤MIPVU,综合运用定性和定量方法对英文财经文本中的隐喻进行系统客观的识别与分析。最后,根据经济隐喻的特征以及中英隐喻在词汇和认知两个维度上的三种对应关系分析,笔者通过具体的翻译实践案例剖析,在归化与异化翻译策略的指导下进一步归纳出四种具体的隐喻翻译方法。笔者希望,本论文所总结的隐喻翻译方法对日后参与该翻译实践项目的译员以及从事经济文本汉译的译员具有一定的指导作用。
[Abstract]:In recent years, the pace of global economic integration has been advancing rapidly. China's foreign trade is increasing day by day, people begin to pay more attention to the relevant information in the economic field, so a large number of English financial and financial texts have been introduced. However, Some theories, behaviors or phenomena about economics that often appear in economic texts are mostly complicated and obscure to the average reader. The writers of the text mostly use metaphor to solve this problem. The existence of a large number of metaphors in English financial texts has become a difficulty in the process of translation. In addition, the appropriateness of metaphorical translation is directly related to the degree of access to economic information and the reader's reading experience. From the perspective of hierarchical dominance hypothesis (GSH), Based on the 95 English economic texts / Chinese 48497 / English 41106s, this paper discusses the metaphorical translation in English financial texts from the perspectives of lexical accessibility and cognitive reasoning. This thesis adopts the authoritative metaphor identification step MIPVU, synthesizes qualitative and quantitative methods to identify and analyze metaphors in English financial texts systematically and objectively. Finally, Based on the analysis of the characteristics of economic metaphor and the three corresponding relations between Chinese and English metaphors in lexical and cognitive dimensions, the author makes a case study of translation practice. Under the guidance of domestication and foreignization translation strategies, four specific metaphorical translation methods are further concluded. The metaphorical translation methods summarized in this thesis are helpful to the translators who participate in the translation practice project and those who are engaged in the translation of economic texts.
