“国体”和“政体”的英译与思考

【摘要】："国体"和"政体"是法律上、政治上的两个重要概念。然而,由于种种原因,其英译五花八门。为了讲好中国故事,本文结合中国国情及中西文化差异,追溯了"国体"和"政体"概念的由来及其相关法律、政治内涵,考查"国体"和"政体"的区别,对比现行英译的差异,尝试从规范角度处理"国体"和"政体"的英译。研究认为,可将"国体"和"政体"分别译为form of state和form of government。本研究或许对当下中国文化走出去背景下一些核心政治术语英译的规范提供一种思路参考。
[Abstract]:"State system" and "regime" are two important concepts in law and politics. However, for various reasons, their translation into English is varied. In order to tell a good story of China, this paper combines the national conditions of China and the differences between Chinese and Western cultures. This paper traces the origin of the concepts of "state system" and "regime" and their relevant laws and political connotations, examines the differences between "state system" and "regime", and compares the differences in current English translations. Try to deal with the translation of "state system" and "polity" from a normative point of view. "State system" and "regime" can be translated into form of state and form of government respectively. This study may provide a reference for the norms of translating some core political terms under the background of Chinese culture going global.
